Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Bagdogra to Phuentsholing

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) and proceed towards Phuentsholing. Arrive in Phuentsholing and embark on the unforgettable experience of crossing the Indo-Bhutan border on foot. Check in to your hotel and freshen up. Explore the locality in Phuentsholing and try local cuisines or simply relax in the charismatic environment of Bhutan. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and go for immigration. Proceed towards Thimphu, enjoying the beautiful journey through the landscapes. Pass through Chukha Waterfall and Chuzom Bridge, the confluence of two rivers, Thimphu Chu and Paro Chu. Arrive in Thimphu by evening and check in to your hotel. Leisure time in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Thimphu.

After breakfast, visit Simply Bhutan for an interactive cultural experience. Move towards Paro for the Tiger Nest Trek, visiting Raga View Point, Paro Chu, Bird Eye View of Paro Airport, Paro Dzong, and the local market. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

After breakfast, drive to Punakha. Visit Dochula Pass (3150 mts.), a beautiful mountain pass with a concentration of 108 memorial stupas. Visit Punakha Dzong, the second oldest dzong in Bhutan, which served as the capital until the mid-1950s. Explore the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest and oldest suspension bridges in Bhutan. Dinner and overnight stay in Punakha.

After breakfast, go for Phubjika Valley sightseeing. Overnight stay in Punakha.

After breakfast, proceed towards Paro. Visit Paro Chu, Bird Eye View of Paro Airport, Paro Dzong, and the local market. Overnight stay in Paro.

After breakfast, proceed towards Paro town. Visit Tiger Nest view, Paro Museum, and enjoy leisure time for shopping and exploring the local market of Paro town. In the afternoon, drive to Phuentsholing with stopovers to enjoy the scenic beauty. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. At 8:00 AM, depart for Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey.

Meena explained the wonders of all the sites we visited in most interesting way. She is extremely knowledgeable about everything of Bhutan. She is a great guide. Wanchuk, is a very cautious and gentle driver and he drove us safely everywhere we went. His driving is so smooth and enjoyable. During his driving he also explain the importance of some sites . He was very punctual regarding timing. Bhutan is indeed a wonderful piece of heaven on earth. The nature, the scenic beauty, the valleys, the hills, the mountains, the spiral roads, the fresh air, the dreamy cool climate makes it a piece of heaven on earth. From the very beginning, their team was responsive and attentive, creating a bespoke itinerary perfectly tailored to our needs. The accommodations were outstanding and seamlessly planned. Every single property selected for us was beautiful, clean, and offered stunning views of the surrounding valleys. The hospitality at each stay was warm and genuine, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We never felt rushed and had the exact right balance of sightseeing and relaxation. Our tour guide, Mr.Sonam was fantastic and extremely patient, and answered all our questions. Special Thanks to our driver, Mr. Doranji who navigated the winding roads safely and kept our vehicle spotless every single day. I have deducted one star as our smooth experience unfortunately fell short on the final day due to a major transport disappointment and Missed our last sightseeing. The vehicle provided for our last day towards Airport from Phuenstsheling to Bagdogra was uncomfortable, and not up to the standard of the rest of the tour. It was a frustrating end , otherwise it was beautifully curated itinerary. Despite the final day's transport issue, I would still recommend this tour, but I highly advise double-checking your vehicle arrangements.
