Day 1 Arrive Paro from New Delhi / Kolkata & transfer to Thimphu
- The most spectacular mountain flights you will ever experience in a lifetime.
- Flying in from the heat of the plains of India.
- Witness a series of the world's highest peaks from the left side of the aircraft's window.
- Your pilot will announce the names of the peaks if the weather is clear.
- Descend into the high mountains without finding any airstrip or city.
- Enjoy the view of the approaching valley of Paro, alpine forests, little monasteries, temples, and farmhouses.
- Before landing, glimpse the fertile valley of Paro, the Paro Dzong, and Paro chu (river).
- Our representative will be at the airport to assist you, meet and greet.
- Transfer to the capital city Thimphu.
- Rest of the day at leisure.
- Overnight at Thimphu.
Day 2 Thimphu
- Prepare for surprises in Thimphu, the unique capital with no traffic lights
- Experience traffic policemen with elaborate hand gestures
- Visit the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to the third king of Bhutan
- Explore the Buddha statue
- Visit Takin Zoo, home of Bhutan's national animal
- Drive downhill and stop at the junction for a glimpse of Trashichho Dzong
- Proceed to the National Library
- Visit the Folk Heritage Museum
- Take a short walk to Handicraft Bazaar to view traditional arts
- Stroll through Centenary Park
- Walk to the main city from Clock Tower Square for shopping
- Overnight stay in Thimphu
Day 3 Thimphu - Punakha via Dochula Pass
- Morning drive to low lands of Punakha valley touching Dochula pass 10,000 ft.
- Drive through the first mountain pass in the western part of Bhutan.
- Find the 108 Druk Wangyal chortens on the top of the pass.
- Ridges draped in colorful prayer flags greet you.
- Take three rounds and offer prayers.
- Take some best photo shots.
- If the weather is clear, see the highest peaks towards the north, including Gangar Punsum, the highest unclimbed peak (24,000 ft) in the world.
- Proceed down towards Punakha through Thinleygang village.
- Upon reaching Lobesa, turn left and drive down further.
- Stop and take a short walk through the villages to Chimmi Lhakhang.
- Chimmi Lhakhang is associated with the divine madman, Drukpa Kinley.
- Tales told by your guide will excite you to visit Chimmi Lhakhang.
- Do not miss the master?s deeds painted on the walls.
- Japanese and several American couples visited this temple and were blessed miraculously with children.
- Afternoon visit to the majestic Punakha Dzong.
- Punakha Dzong is placed strategically at the junction of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers.
- The dzong was built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.
- Serves as the religious and administrative seat of the region.
- Here, the dual system of government was introduced in the 17th century.
- In 1907, the first King Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuk was enthroned here.
- Evening at leisure.
- Overnight at Punakha.
Day 4 Punakha – Paro
- Morning drive to Thimphu via same road
- Stop at Lamperi
- Visit the Royal Botanical Park for 30 minutes
- Possible sightings of red pandas and different species of birds
- Photo opportunities close to the natural lake
- Watch a short documentary about the park
- Proceed to Paro via Semtokha
- Check in at the hotel
- Day at leisure

Day 5 Paro sightseeing
- Morning visit Paro Dzong
- Visit the National Museum housed in a round fortress called the Ta Dzong
- Considered to be one of the best natural history museums in Asia with a fine collection of natural and historic artifacts
- Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, a monastery dating back to the 7th century and one of the oldest and most sacred
- Afternoon visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, a 17th century fortress that used to keep invaders from Tibet
- Drukgyel Dzong was destroyed by fire in 1951
- Last stop for the day at the base of the Tigers Nest
- Evening visit the town for leisure or shopping
- Overnight at Paro

We loved everything about the trip. Me and my husband travelled to Bhutan and ou (Read More)r request was a very last minute request but the Tour Manager Mr. Bharath ji ensured a completely hassle free and smooth programme for us. Right from taking care of our permits to ensuring our safety throughout the trip and also till we reached our home Bharath ji and his team ensured we had a great time. Also would like to mention when I raised a request for Bhutan trip on Holidify me Bharath ji was the first tour operator who reached out to us with a perfect plan within 30 minutes.
The rooms were great and spacious. We being vegetarians were little worried about the food , but thanks to Bharath ji and his Team they ensured taking great care of our curated meals in all locations. Special mention to our guide Sonam ji and Our driver Sidhdhart ji, we started as a team and always felt we were traveling as a team. Excellent services and warmth. We became more like a family during the trip. I would highly recommend Bharath ji and his team for all ages and all plans to Bhutan.

Right from the planning stage, the team was extremely flexible and attentive. They offered multiple itinerary options and thoughtfully customized the plan based on our preferences. What stood out most was how patiently they listened to our requests and curated the entire trip to ensure comfort and ease.
All arrangements were excellent — a clean and comfortable car, premium 4/5 star hotels, and two wonderful tour guides, Mr. Sonam and Mr. Siddharth.
The guides were highly knowledgeable, considerate, and genuinely warm. During the 5-day trip, I learned a great deal about Bhutan’s history, monarchy, political and administrative systems, culture, traditional attire, food, and Buddhism. Sonam and Siddharth explained everything patiently and in great detail, making the experience both insightful and enjoyable.
A special mention to the beautiful candlelight dinner curated exclusively for us — it was thoughtfully arranged and added a truly romantic and personal touch to the trip. We also had an amazing karaoke night with the guides, which was incredibly fun and made the entire experience feel even more warm, friendly, and memorable.
