Day 1 Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station to Phuentsholing
  • On arrival at Bagdogra Airport
  • Transfer to Phuentsholing
  • Check in the hotel
  • Evening at leisure
  • Overnight at Phuentsholing
  • Morning process for route permit
  • Transfer to the capital city Thimphu through the mountains. This journey is of almost unbelievable beauty
  • Check in at the hotel
  • Afternoon relaxation
  • Evening time spent in Clock Tower Square
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu
  • Prepare for surprises in Thimphu, the unique capital with no traffic lights.
  • Sightseeing includes:
    • Folk Heritage Museum
    • National Library
    • Handicraft Center
    • Indigenous Medicine Hospital
    • Painting School
    • Tashichho Dzong (view from the road point)
  • Visit Takin Zoo to see Bhutan's national animal.
  • Afternoon visit to National Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to the third king of Bhutan and Buddha statue.
  • Evening walk to the main city from Clock Tower Square.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.
  • Morning drive to low lands of Punakha valley touching Dochula pass 10,000 ft. Drive through the first mountain pass in the western part of Bhutan. Find the 108 Druk Wangyal Chorten on the top of the pass. If the weather is clear, see the highest peaks towards the north, including Gangar Punsum, the highest unclimbed peak (24,000 ft) in the world.
  • Proceed down to Thinleygang village.
  • Upon reaching Lobesa, turn left and enter Punakha valley.
  • Check in at the hotel.
  • Afternoon visit to the majestic Punakha Dzong.
  • Punakha Dzong is placed strategically at the junction of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. Built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to serve as the religious and administrative seat of the region.
  • Evening at leisure.
  • Overnight at Punakha.
  • Morning drive to Paro via the same road
  • Stop at Lamperi
  • Visit the Royal Botanical Park for 30 minutes. Opportunity to see red pandas and different species of birds with photo opportunities close to the natural lake.
  • Watch a short documentary about the park
  • Proceed to Paro via Semtokha
  • Check in at the hotel
  • Afternoon visit to the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong
  • Drive to the base of Tigers Nest
  • Evening at leisure
  • Overnight at Paro
  • Morning visit Paro Dzong
  • Visit the National Museum housed in a round fortress called the Ta Dzong. Considered to be one of the best natural history museums in Asia with fine collection of natural and historic artifacts.
  • Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, a monastery dating back to the 7th century
  • One of the oldest and most sacred monasteries

Gm, It's been a wonderful tour to Cochin, Munnar and Alleppy with Travel Corp. Right from the first enquiry, Sankrithi has helped us in every way to guide us to plan our trip. We enjoyed our tour.
