Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP Railway Station (NJP) –Phuentsholing

Pick-up from Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or NJP Railway Station (NJP) for transfer to Phuentsholing.
The journey is approximately 165 km and takes around 04 to 05 hours by road.
Upon arrival in Phuentsholing (298 Mts / 977 Ft), meet and greet by the Bhutan representative.
Complete Bhutan entry formalities at the Phuentsholing Immigration office.
Check-in at the hotel and rest.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Phuentsholing.

Day 2 Phuentsholing -Thimphu

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and complete the Visa/Permit formalities with assistance from the Bhutan representative.
Transfer from Phuentsholing to Thimphu, which is approximately 158 km and takes around 05 to 06 hours by road.
Check-in at the hotel upon arrival in Thimphu (2320 Mts / 7656 Ft).
Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 3 Thimphu - Full Day Local sightseeing – Thimphu

After breakfast, start your day with a visit to Sangaygang View Point (BBS Tower) at 2865 Mts / 9397 Ft for a panoramic view of Thimphu town.
Proceed to Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodong) to visit the giant Buddha statue and enjoy the scenic beauty.
Visit the Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Art & Craft School) (entrance fee INR 100 approx).
Explore the Textiles Museum (entrance fee INR 250 approx).
Visit local Handicraft Shops for Bhutanese souvenirs.
Visit Zangthopelri Lhakhang (Monastery).
Visit Simply Bhutan (entrance fee INR 1000 approx) to experience traditional Bhutanese life.
Explore the Motithang Takin Preservation Centre (entrance fee INR 300 approx).
Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 4 Thimphu-Punakha /Wangdi

After breakfast, drive to Punakha / Wangdi (70 Kms, 03 to 03½ hours one-way drive).
Cross the scenic Dochu La Pass (3080 Mts / 10102 Ft) with views of Bhutanese mountains.
Visit Punakha Dzong (entrance fee INR 500 approx).
If time permits, visit the Suspension Bridge and walk to Chimi Lhakhang (Monastery) (entrance fee INR 1000 approx).
Overnight stay at the hotel in Punakha / Wangdi.

Day 5 Punakha / Wangdi via Lampari - Paro

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Paro (148 Kms, 04 to 04½ hours drive).
En route, stop at Dochu La Pass and Lamperi to visit the Royal Botanical Garden (entrance fee INR 100 approx).
Check-in at the hotel upon arrival in Paro (2200 Mts / 7216 Ft).
Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

Day 6 Paro Full day Local Sightseeing/ Haa Valley

After breakfast, proceed for a full day of sightseeing in Paro.
Visit Dungtse Lhakhang, a unique and picturesque monastery.
Stop at the Bird Eye Viewpoint for stunning views of Paro Valley and the Paro International Airport.
Visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) (entrance fee INR 300 approx).
Explore Rinpung Dzong (entrance fee INR 1000 approx).
Visit Kichu Lhakhang (entrance fee INR 500 approx).
Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

After early breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Haa Valley via Chele-la Pass (3988 Mts / 13080 Ft).
Visit Haa Dzong, Lhakhang Karpo, Lhakhang Nagpo, and Wangchulo Dzong.
Return to Paro by evening.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

Day 7 Paro - Phuentsholing (Bhutan)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Phuentsholing (176 Kms, 04 to 05 hours drive).
Check-in at the hotel upon arrival in Phuentsholing.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Phuentsholing.

Day 8 Phuentsholing - Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP Railway Station (NJP)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or NJP Railway Station (NJP).
The drive is approximately 15 Kms, taking around 40 to 45 minutes.
Departure for onward connection.

The entire tour was well organised by Manish and Ruhan from Bluestone Travels and all the points mentioned in the itenary were delivered..The best part was that Bluestone Travels tried their best to arrange the Catamaran Cruise and when I could not be done due to weather we received instant refund in our account..

Even though Varun Chawla from Beach Holidays in Mauritius (which was travel partner of Bluestone) did organise good drivers and tour facilitation but his behaviour was very rude and unprofessional.

Krejit planned our Sri Lanka tour well for us under Manish guidance. Hotels were top class, continental menu, maybe they should include a few good indian dishes in the dinner. The car was good, the driver was polite and friendly, he took good care of us during the tour.

So I was helped by Bluestone travels in planning my trip to Mauritius. It was a 8 N 9 D trip and each day was planned meticulously by Manish Ji. We had atleast 5 iterations and I was very impressed by the amount of patience Manish Ji exhibited in personalizing our whole trip. The amount of time he invested in detailing the minutest of things was huge considering this sector where time is money. Al (Read More)so they have great on ground support.
