Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra/ NJP and drive to Phuntsholing (Approximately 4 hrs. drive)

The Asia Valleys Tours & Travels (AVTT) team will be waiting at Bagdogra/NJP for a meet and greet.
Drive to Phuntsholing via the beautiful Teesta Tea Garden.
Enjoy an overnight stay at a 3-star hotel in Phuntsholing.

Day 2 Drive to Thimphu (Approximately 4 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the immigration office to obtain the passport stamp/permit.
Next, we will drive to Thimphu.
On the way, we will stop at Gedu for sightseeing, including:

Chuka
Wangkha Waterfall
Chonzom

Upon reaching Thimphu, we will check into a hotel.
We will spend the evening strolling around the town.
We will then spend the night in a 3-star hotel.

Day 3 Thimphu Sightseeing

Sangaygang View Point (BBS Tower)
Textile Museum

Kaja Thorm/Changyul Park

Overnight stay in Thimphu at a 3-Star Hotel.

Day 4 Drive to Punakha (Approximately 1 hr 30 mins drive)

Drive to Punakha, stopping at Dochulla Pass for sightseeing.
Visit Chimi Lhakhang.
Upon reaching Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong.
Explore Changyul village.
Experience Bhutan's longest suspension bridge.
Overnight stay at a 3-Star Hotel in Punakha.

Day 5 Drive to Paro (Approximately 3 hrs drive)

Before starting to Paro, we will visit Khamsum Yul-le Namgyal Chorten.
We will drive to Paro, stopping near Issuna for a riverside walk along the way.
Upon reaching Paro, we will visit the Paro National Museum and Paro Dzong.
A photo shoot will be arranged in Bhutanese attire.
Overnight stay in Paro at a 3-star hotel.

Day 6 Tiger Nest's Hike

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to the Tiger Nest base camp and begin the hike.
In the evening, enjoy a stroll around Paro town.
Later, experience a hot stone bath to relax.
Overnight stay in Paro at a 3-star hotel.

Day 7 Drive to Phuentsholing via Celle la Pass

Drive to Chellela and spend time viewing the beautiful Himalayan range.
Explore Paro and Haa Valley.
Drive to Phuntsholing.

Day 8 Drive to Bagdogra/ NJP

Drive to Bagdogra/NJP.

We had a private tour as we were carrying our 2 year old kid. During the trip our stay and sightseeing were very comfortable. We did not face any issue. This is one of the best time we had in bhutan just because if asia valley tours. We received the 5 star service our during entire trip. Guide and driver both were very helpful.

From the very start i.e trip planning, to the very end i.e us reaching our home, Mr Bharat and AVTT representatives have, in my opinion - truly delivered. The itinerary was flawlessly planned and executed, perfectly accommodating even the smallest of our needs along the way. We had the pleasure of meeting some truly wonderful people during our trip: Roma, our guide, was exceptionally generous w (Read More)ith her time and always eager to answer our questions. I had always thought that tour guides were often hard to connect with, but I was completely wrong. Her thoughtful insights, engaging stories, and lighthearted conversations, often laced with humor, truly enhanced our experience. Mr. Bikas, our driver, was a great guy with some fantastic stories! We had a blast listening to him, and his punctuality was spot on—no matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t beat him at being on time! ? And finally, Mr. Bharat and his family—it’s clear that he is incredibly professional and deeply passionate about delivering outstanding experiences through AVTT.
