Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra/ NJP and drive to Phuntsholing (Approximately 4 hrs. drive)

Asia Valleys Tours & Travels (AVTT) team will be waiting at Bagdogra/ NJP for a Meet and greet. Drive to Phuntsholing via the beautiful Teasta Tea garden. Overnight at Phuntsholing in 3 Star hotel.

Day 2 Drive to Thimphu (Approximately 4 hrs drive)

After breakfast in the hotel, we will go to the immigration office to get the passport stamp/permit. Then, we will drive to Thimphu. On the way, we will halt at Gedu to go sightseeing: Chuka, Wangkha waterfall, and Chonzom. Upon reaching Thimphu, we will check into a hotel and spend the evening strolling around the town. We will then spend the night in a 3-Star hotel.

Day 3 Thimphu Sightseeing

Visit the following places in Thimphu:

Buddha Point
Simply Bhutan
Takin reserve
Sangaygang view point (BBS Tower)
Textile Museum
Craft Market
Kaja Thorm/ Changyul Park

Overnight at Thimphu in 3-Star Hotel

Day 4 Drive to Punakha (Approximately 1 hr 30 mins drive)

Drive to Punakha, stopping at Dochulla Pass for sightseeing and Chimi Lhakhang. Upon reaching Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong, Changyul village, and Bhutan's longest suspension bridge. Overnight at Punakha in 3-Star Hotel

Day 5 Drive to Paro (Approximately 3 hrs drive)

Before starting to Paro, we will visit Khamsum Yul-le Namgyal Chorten and drive to Paro. On the way, we will stop near Issuna for a riverside walk. Upon reaching Paro, we will visit the Paro National Museum and Paro Dzong and photo shoot in Bhutanese attire.
Overnight at Paro in 3 Star hotel.

Day 6 Tiger Nest's Hike

After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive to Tiger Nest base camp and start the hike. Evening stroll around Paro town and later go for a hot stone bath to relax. Overnight at Paro in 3 Star hotel

Day 7 Drive to Phuentsholing via Celle la Pass

We will drive to Chellela and spend some time there viewing the beautiful Himalayan range and Paro & Haa Valley. Then, we will drive to Phuntsholing. We will overnight in a 3-Star hotel in Phuntsholing.

Day 8 Drive to Bagdogra/ NJP

Drive to Bagdogra/ NJP and see off by AVTT representative.

What's Good: The planing and execution of tour was great. They Considered personal requests as my wife was pregnant. The guide and captain. The tour manager Mr. Bharat met us personally in Thim (Read More)phu and welcomed us with gift also. Our trip was great with them.
What's Not Good: Food in hotels was not satisfactory in some hotels.

Amazing Nepal & Bhutan Trip

What's Good: I loved my short time in Bhutan. The hotels were Very nice and clean. Since I wanted to save money, I asked for only 3-star hotels, the hotel I was placed in were all very very (Read More) clean and included a breakfast buffet and dinner. We also stayed at a home stay out in the countryside with a beautiful valley-view and a wonderful host. The homestay allows one to have a more authentic experience staying and interacting with local Bhutanese people. We loved experiencing the delicious Bhutanese food and culture and will not hesitate to come again in the future. I was just not aware how much was included in our tour. We had guides taking us personally everywhere we went. And even dinner was included in our package! You can confidently utilize this company. They strive to go above and beyond your expectations.
What's Not Good: I could have been fine without including the dinner in our package and seeking out my own dinners outside. Had I mention Ed that to Asia Valley, I am sure they would have accommodated my request.

A special mention about our trip to the Tiger's Nest monastery - I think we wouldn't have reached the summit without the support and encouragement of our driver & guide. They patiently walked with us and ensure that we completed the arduous Trek without any major problems.
