Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra/ NJP and drive to Phuntsholing (Approximately 4 hrs. drive)
- The team will be waiting at Bagdogra/NJP for a meet and greet.
- Drive to Phuntsholing via the beautiful Teesta Tea Garden.
- Enjoy an overnight stay at a 3-star hotel in Phuntsholing.
Day 2 Drive to Thimphu (Approximately 4 hrs drive)
- After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the immigration office to obtain the passport stamp/permit.
- Next, we will drive to Thimphu.
- On the way, we will stop at Gedu for sightseeing, including:
- Chuka
- Wangkha Waterfall
- Chonzom
- Upon reaching Thimphu, we will check into a hotel.
- We will spend the evening strolling around the town.
- We will then spend the night in a 3-star hotel.
Day 3 Thimphu Sightseeing

Day 4 Drive to Punakha (Approximately 1 hr 30 mins drive)
- Drive to Punakha, stopping at Dochulla Pass for sightseeing.
- Visit Chimi Lhakhang.
- Upon reaching Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong.
- Explore Changyul village.
- Experience Bhutan's longest suspension bridge.
- Overnight stay at a 3-Star Hotel in Punakha.
Day 5 Drive to Paro (Approximately 3 hrs drive)
- Before starting to Paro, we will visit Khamsum Yul-le Namgyal Chorten.
- We will drive to Paro, stopping near Issuna for a riverside walk along the way.
- Upon reaching Paro, we will visit the Paro National Museum and Paro Dzong.
- A photo shoot will be arranged in Bhutanese attire.
- Overnight stay in Paro at a 3-star hotel.
Day 6 Tiger Nest's Hike
- After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to the Tiger Nest base camp and begin the hike.
- In the evening, enjoy a stroll around Paro town.
- Later, experience a hot stone bath to relax.

Day 7 Drive to Phuentsholing via Celle la Pass
- Drive to Chellela and spend time viewing the beautiful Himalayan range.

From the very beginning, everything was well organized and smooth. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, allowing enough time to explore while still feeling relaxed and enjoyable. Mr. Bharat Gurung, the owner of Asia Valleys Tours and Travels, was very supportive and responsive. He stayed in touch during the planning stage, clarified all details properly, and made sure everything was aligned before the trip started. A big part of what made this trip so enjoyable was our guide, Sangay, and our driver, Dechen. Sangay was incredibly knowledgeable and shared deep insights about Bhutanese culture, history, and traditions in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. He was always attentive, patient, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included.
Dechen, our driver, was equally wonderful. His driving was safe and smooth, even on the winding mountain roads, which made the journeys between destinations very comfortable. He was always punctual, polite, and had a calm and friendly presence that added to the overall experience.
What truly stood out was the warmth, respect, and positivity both Sangay and Dechen brought to the trip. They were not just guide and driver, but became an important part of the journey—making it fun, stress-free, and filled with good moments. Their coordination and support throughout ensured that everything ran seamlessly.

From the moment we landed at Bagdogra airport, everything was beautifully organized — smooth transfers, comfort (Read More)able stays, and a thoughtfully planned itinerary that allowed us to truly experience Bhutan’s serene beauty. Nothing felt rushed, and each day was well balanced.
A special mention to our guide, Sangay Nidup, and our driver, Amber, who made the journey even more memorable. They were knowledgeable, patient, and always ensured our comfort. We didn’t just visit places — we experienced the culture, food, and hidden gems of Bhutan.
Our package included three hikes in Thimpu, Phobijika valley and Paro. Our guide, Sangay made all hikes very enjoyable and informative sharing his past experiences. He also gave suggestions for shopping in Thimpu/Paro and took us to the local markets and helped us experience the local lifestyle. He was very helpful in taking photos during the trip.
The highlight of the trip was the hike to Tiger’s Nest — challenging, but absolutely worth it. The views and the entire experience were simply magical.

Very nice arrangement. Vehicle, Hotels, Guide, Driver all were very good. Service provided was perfect. All the people were very cooperative and humble.
Food was not good initially but on request they cooked it in our way.
