Detailed Itinerary
- Arrive at Leh Airport (3505 meters / 11567 feet).
- You will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
- Complete rest for the first half of the day.
- After lunch, if suitable, visit the famous sunset spot, Shanti Stupa.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
- After breakfast, proceed to the Indus and Zanskar River Sangam.
- Drive along the Indus River, visiting:
- Pathar Sahib Gurdwara
- Magnetic Hill (where cars defy gravity)
- Leh Hall of Fame (which features a museum of Kargil War memorabilia)
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
- After an early breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardongla Pass (18,380 ft), the world’s highest motorable road.
- Visit Deskit Monastery (118 km) founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo in 1420 A.D.
- Check in at the camp or hotel.
- Visit Hundar village (7 km from Deskit) and enjoy a double-humped Bactrian camel safari in the sand dunes at Hundar.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel or camp in Nubra.
- In the morning, after breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Turtuk, which was under Pakistan’s control until the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
- Turtuk offers a unique landscape and cultural orientation compared to the rest of Nubra Valley.

- Overnight accommodation is provided in a village homestay.
- After breakfast, start your journey towards Umlung La, heading towards Bukshado Bridge over Hanle Nallah.
- After crossing the bridge, you will encounter Kalatartar Plain, which is similar to the Moore Plain of the Leh-Manali road but unpaved.
- After traveling a few miles, you will reach a blacktop road, an engineering marvel.
- Spend some time at the top of Umlung and later return to Hanle via the same route.
- Overnight stay at the house.
- Return to Leh.
