  1. Prepaid sim cards do not work in J&K due to security reasons, so a postpaid connection is a must.
  2. In Katra, for Pithu, Palki, or Pony services, the Municipal Committee Katra has fixed the rates, which are displayed on the rate card outside their booking office at Banganga. If someone is overcharging above the listed rates, it’s up to you to negotiate as much as possible.
  3. If you are staying at a houseboat in Srinagar, Shikara rides are complimentary, so do not pay for them.
  4. It is not mandatory for guests to take ponies in Gulmarg and Pahalgam to visit all the important tourist spots, as the major attractions are within close proximity and can be walked to. However, if you still wish to take a pony ride, sledge, or raft, the rates are highly negotiable. Please bargain as much as possible.
  5. Sightseeing to Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, and Chandanwari in Pahalgam is only accessible by the local taxi union. Due to union restrictions, outside vehicles cannot enter these places. The rates are highly negotiable if you wish to visit these places, and you will need to pay extra directly.
  6. For shopping, recommended items include dry fruits, Rajma, Basmati rice, handicrafts, woolens, carpets, saffron, and cricket bats. In Srinagar, Lal Chowk and Boulevard are the best places for shopping.
  7. For Kashmiri Wazwan food, Aadhoos at Lal Chowk in Srinagar is the best place, and the mutton kebab at Gee Enn Bakers on Residency Road is highly recommended.
  8. For vegetarian food in Srinagar, Krishna Dhaba is the best place.

From the moment we arrived at Srinagar Airport, everything was very well organised...One of the most memorable experience of our trip was the Dal lake shikara ride,which they arranged for us a Complimentary one.we went during the evening around sunset and the view was absolutely beautiful.Sitting together, enjoying the peaceful Dal lake, watching the sunset,and drinking traditional khawa was a truly Romantic and unforgettable experience for both of us... Wow kashmiri has arranged a wonderful Houseboat stay at Dal lake.Honestly we didn't except such a beautiful accommodation as a part of our package.The house boat was excellent and we would happily give it a five star rating... They arranged a wonderful itinerary that included the Botanical Garden, a beautiful sunset Shikara ride on Dal Lake with Kahwa, a comfortable houseboat stay, a memorable Gulmarg trip with booking Gondola Phase 1 & 2 tickets, a good hotel stay, and delicious food throughout the trip.... They gave us very useful advice about avoiding unnecessary local guides and people who might approach tourists.Because of their proper guidance,we able to enjoy Gulmarg comfortably without any confusion... After completing Gulmarg trip,they picked up on time and dropped us at our hotel...The hotel they arranged was also excellent.. Although it was described as Three star hotel,the overall experience and facilities felt much better than what we expected.They provided Complimentary Buffet Dinner and breakfast including veg and Non veg options....Which was Excellent.... The stays were very pretty, cozy and comfortable, and added so much charm to our trip. Kashmir is truly magical, with breathtaking landscapes and beautiful peaceful surroundings everywhere. The views, especially around Gurez, were absolutely stunning and unforgettable. Overall, everything was well planned and smoothly managed, and we had a really memorable experience. Just a small suggestion, please don’t take it the wrong way — the complimentary Shikara ride could have been a little better. The ride felt quite slow with frequent stops, so perhaps connecting with more experienced Shikara operators could make the experience even more enjoyable. ?
