Detailed Itinerary
- Arrival at Bagdogra Airport, NJP Railway Station, or Siliguri Junction Bus Stand. Pick up and drive to Darjeeling (3 hours). Evening free to stroll around Chowk Bazaar and Chowrasta Mall. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
- At 4:00 AM, depart for Tiger Hill to witness the sunrise. The peaks of Kanchenjunga are illuminated before the sun is visible at lower elevations; visibility depends on weather conditions. Drive back to the hotel, stopping en route at Ghum Monastery and Batasia Loop viewpoint.
- After breakfast, begin your local city sightseeing tour, which includes the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays), the Himalayan Zoological Park, Tenzing and Gombu Rock, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre, the Japanese Temple, the Peace Pagoda, a local tea garden, and the Darjeeling Ropeway.
- Evening free for leisure activities. Overnight stay in Darjeeling. (Optional extra activity: Toy Train ride available for an additional fee.)
- After breakfast, drive to Mirik Lake (2-hour drive). Begin the sightseeing excursion by visiting Sumendu Lake (boating activities), beautiful tea gardens, orange orchards (available in winter only), cardamom plantations, and Bokar Monastery. Halt at Simana View Point. On the way back, stop at Pashupati Market in Nepal for local shopping. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
- After breakfast, early in the morning, drive to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for your onward journey, leaving you with everlasting memories. TOUR ENDS.
