Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Paro international Airport - Thimphu
Welcome to Bhutan! Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, our representative will receive you. After completing permit formalities and other documentation, you will begin your journey to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. En route, enjoy scenic views of the Chhukha District and the beautiful Issuna riverside.
Upon arrival in Thimphu, check in to your hotel and freshen up. Later, visit the National Memorial Chorten, built in memory of the Third Druk Gyalpo and dedicated to world peace. This Tibetan-style stupa is one of the most important religious structures in the capital.
Next, visit Simply Bhutan, a vibrant interactive museum showcasing Bhutanese culture, architecture, and traditions. Also explore the Authentic Bhutanese Crafts Market, a great place to see traditional crafts and shop for souvenirs. Overnight in Thimphu
After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Thimphu with a visit to the Buddha Dordenma, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world. Perched atop a hill in Kuenselphodrang Nature Park, the statue houses 125,000 smaller Buddhas inside and offers breathtaking views of the Thimphu Valley.
Next, visit Devi Panchayan Mandir, a Hindu shrine where you can offer prayers to deities such as Durga, Ganesh, Shiva, Surya, and Vishnu. Continue to the Takin Preserve Centre, home to Bhutan’s national animal—the Takin—as well as other species like Sambar and Serow. Later, explore the Folk Heritage Museum, offering a glimpse into Bhutanese rural life and culture. Spend your evening leisurely exploring the local markets. Overnight in Thimphu.
After a relaxed breakfast, start your scenic drive to Punakha. En route, stop at the Dochula Pass (3,100 meters) for a panoramic view of the snow-covered Himalayan ranges, especially clear on winter mornings. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee as you take in the views and the serenity of the 108 stupas (Druk Wangyal Chortens).
Continue your journey to Punakha and visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of the Pho and Mo Chu rivers. Known as the "Palace of Great Happiness," it is one of the most architecturally stunning dzongs in Bhutan.
Later, walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge, the second-longest suspension bridge in the country, offering amazing views and photo opportunities. Conclude your day with a visit to the Chimi Lhakhang, popularly known as the Fertility Temple. The short hike to the temple through scenic Mesina village is a delightful experience. Overnight in Punakha.
After breakfast, drive to Paro. Upon arrival, enjoy the view from the Paro Airport View Point, a perfect spot for panoramic valley views and to watch flights land and take off.
Proceed to visit the National Museum, housed in an old watchtower that features a rich collection of Bhutanese artifacts, costumes, weapons, and religious art. Continue to Kichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, built in the 7th century.
End your day with a visit to Rinpung Dzong, also known as the "Fortress on a Heap of Jewels," which exemplifies Bhutanese architectural style and holds religious significance. Overnight in Paro.
After an early breakfast, embark on the highlight of your Bhutan trip—a hike to the legendary Taktsang Monastery, famously known as the Tiger’s Nest. Clinging to a sheer cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley, this sacred site is one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks.
Stop at the Taktsang Cafeteria for lunch while soaking in the stunning views. Optionally, you can enjoy a rejuvenating Hot Stone Bath in the evening (self-paid). Overnight in Paro.
Today, you will be transferred to Paro International Airport for your onward journey. Our representative will assist you with exit formalities and bid you farewell with warm memories of Bhutan.
