Detailed Itinerary
Our representative will receive the guest at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) and assist with the transfer to Gangtok. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, is known for its tranquility, adventure, monasteries, mystic rituals, and festivals at an altitude of 1670 meters (5480 feet). It is one of the most beautiful towns with a variety of rhododendrons, orchids, and butterflies. The drive is approximately 135 kilometers and takes about 4.5 to 5 hours. Check into the hotel and enjoy the evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or the local shopping center. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Morning breakfast at the hotel followed by an excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, located nearly 40 kilometers away, which takes about 2 hours to drive. The lake is situated at an elevation of 3753 meters (12310 feet) and is oval-shaped, approximately 50 feet deep. It is generally covered in snow for most of the year and is home to Brahmini ducks and many migratory birds. The sacred Baba Mandir is nearby. Nathu La Pass to the Republic of China is an optional tour, approximately 20 kilometers away. Return to Gangtok for an overnight stay.
Transfer from Gangtok to Pelling, a drive of 140 kilometers taking about 3.5 to 4 hours through scenic roads. Check into the hotel and enjoy the evening free to explore the small settlement. Overnight stay at Pelling.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Rimbi Water Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Sky Walk, and Kechopalri Lake, a holy Buddhist lake believed to grant wishes. Visit Khecheopalri Monastery, Pemayangtse Monastery, and Rabdantse ruins before transferring to Darjeeling. Check into the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Early morning drive to Tiger Hill at around 3:45 AM to view the sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace Memorial, and Batasia Loop. Return to the hotel for breakfast, followed by a half-day city tour including Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Tea Estate, Natural History Museum, and Peace Pagoda. Evening free to stroll around the area. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
After breakfast, transfer to Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction), approximately 75 kilometers away, taking about 2.5 to 3 hours. Guests are advised to start early and not to rush. Forwarding journey.
