Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park

Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and visit the revered Maa Kamakhya Devi Temple. Later, drive to Kaziranga National Park, home to the famous one-horned rhinoceros. On arrival, check in at the hotel. In the evening, attend a cultural show at the Orchid Garden. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Early morning, explore one zone of Kaziranga National Park on an elephant safari. The park is home to one-horned rhinos, hog deer, swamp deer, wild buffalo, elephants, and, if lucky, tigers. Birdlife includes pelicans, storks, and darters. Return to the resort for breakfast. In the afternoon, enjoy a jeep safari in the park. Later, proceed to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong.

After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji, the wettest place on Earth. En route, visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak. In Cherrapunji, enjoy stunning views of waterfalls like Nohkalikai Falls, Dain-Thlen Falls, Nohsngithiang (Seven Sisters) Falls, and explore Mawsmai and Arwah Caves. Visit Thangkharang Park before returning to your hotel.
After breakfast, head to Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village. Visit the living root bridge and explore the village. Continue to Dawki, located on the India–Bangladesh border, and enjoy a boat ride on the pristine Umngot River, known for its crystal-clear water. Later, return to Mawlynnong.
After breakfast, proceed to Jowai. Visit the scenic Laitlum Canyon and the stunning Krang Suri Falls. Later, drive back to Shillong.

After an early breakfast, go on a day excursion to Mawsynram, one of the wettest places on Earth. Visit the natural Shivalinga inside Mawjymbuin Cave. Later, explore the Sacred Forest and Sacred Dam in Mawphlang. Return to Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for sightseeing in Shillong: visit the Don Bosco Museum, Cathedral Church, Lady Hydari Park, and Ward’s Lake. Later, transfer to the Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
