Reviews for Donwel Tours

Excellent

Trip to Kenya

(Written on 22 Jun, 2025)

What's Good: The responsiveness of Christine (person overall responsible for arrangements)and knowledge from Evance (our driver and guide for national parks)about national parks was excellent. (Read More) We stayed and covered Nairobi, Masai, Naivasha and Daini.. All stays and safaris were perfect could not have asked for better.
What's Not Good: We chose Van but we think land cruiser would have been a better option especially for being comfortable in muddy terrains.

My husband and I chose a Safari for our honeymoon and are so happy we booked with Donwel Tours & Travel. We coordinated with Christine who was so kind and open to creating our perfect Safari tour. Law (Read More)rence was our tour guide for the 5 days and he was so knowledgeable about the animals and the land. We saw SO many animals - it was truly a once in a lifetime experience! Would highly recommend Donwel for any travel needs while in Kenya. They went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. We miss Christine and Lawrence already!!

From December 2019: I am beyond happy that our first trip to Africa & Kenya was with Donwel Tours. Christine is so sweet and passionate about the industry, and it blows my mind that she takes the tim (Read More)e to greet and send off every tour. Our guide and driver Charles was the absolute best. His knowledge of the animals and culture was extremely helpful, and his eagle-eyes ensured that we saw every animal on our list (minus the rare Black Rhino, of which there are only 40 left). Plus, he did some advanced-level driving on some of the rides. The rains the week before did a number on some of the roads, and Charles’s driving was truly impressive on some of the tougher roads. All of the resorts were beautiful with great staff and great food. Lake Navaisha is beautiful and definitely worth seeing. The Maasai Mara is more beautiful than you can imagine. Seeing all of the elephants gave me great joy. The hot air balloon ride was amazing, and definitely worth the money. We spent some long rides in the car, but that is expected when you’re traveling throughout a country. If you live in Texas, then you’re familiar with the long rides between cities lol. All-in-all, the trip was a wonderful experience for our first African trip, and we definitely plan to do more tours with Donwel in the future. Thank you Christine & Charles for a divine experience.
