Day 1 Chandigarh Pick up – Narkanda

  • Drive to Narkanda (175 KM, 5 hours).
  • Check in at the hotel, have dinner, and enjoy an overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
  • Drive to Sarahan (100 KM, 3 hours).
  • Visit the 1500-year-old Bhimakali Temple and Bird Park.
  • Drive to Sangla (83 KM).
  • Check in at the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
  • Visit Chitkul (25 KM), the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border.
  • Enjoy lunch at 'Hindustan Ka Akhri Dhaba'.
  • Drive to Kalpa (40 KM, 2 hours) and witness the sunset over the Kinnaur Kailash range.
  • Overnight stay in Kalpa.
  • After breakfast, check out and drive to Nako.
  • Visit Gue village to see the naturally preserved mummy.
  • Continue to Tabo (60 KM, 2 hours) and visit Tabo Monastery.

The trip was good and I could see everything because of our driver Hitesh. He is (Read More) so knowledgeable about roads, hotels, markets, weather. I guess this trip would have been incomplete without him.
Stays and food could have been better. I didn't like the Manali stay. It was not (Read More) a premium hotel and food was also not good. Echor backwoods villa at Narkanda stay was exceptional but again food was not good.
