Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Cairo
  • Welcome to Egypt, Arrival and Accommodation
  • Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you will find one of our representatives holding an "Egypt Viajes Tours" sign who will assist you with passport formalities and luggage identification.
  • At the airport exit, you will meet your private tour guide, who will be waiting with a modern air-conditioned car to take you to your 5-star hotel in Cairo for some rest.
  • In the evening, we will begin your 9-day journey in Egypt with a dinner cruise featuring a belly dancing show and traditional Tannoura dance.
  • After the cruise, we will return to the hotel where you will spend the night.
  • Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a guided exploration of Cairo's attractions, starting with one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
  • The Giza Pyramid Complex:
    • The Giza Pyramid Complex is the most significant part of ancient Egyptian civilization, dating back more than 4,000 years. It consists of three main pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple.
  • The Great Pyramid:
    • The only one of the seven wonders of the ancient world that remains standing, the Great Pyramid of Cheops was built in 2580 BC using 2,300,000 limestone blocks, each weighing 2.5 tons, by 100,000 skilled workers. It stands 146 meters high and was the tallest building in the world for 3,800 years until Lincoln Cathedral was constructed in England in 1311.
  • The Incredible Sphinx:
    • Known as ?Horem ajet,? meaning Horus on the horizon, the Sphinx is also referred to as ?Abu el Hol,? meaning father of terror in Arabic. It features the body of a lion, symbolizing strength, and a human head, symbolizing intelligence, with the face of Pharaoh Khafre, the founder of the second pyramid. The Sphinx measures 73 meters in length, 20 meters in height, and 19 meters in width, sculpted from a single piece of limestone.
  • The Valley Temple:
    • Constructed during the Old Kingdom by Pharaoh Kefren, the Valley Temple was used for the mummification process of the Pharaoh and is very well preserved. After the tour, lunch will be served at a restaurant with a view of the pyramids.
  • The Step Pyramid of Saqqara:
    • This gigantic structure represents the golden age of pyramid construction, built by the renowned architect Imhotep, who was later deified. The Step Pyramid features a unique design with six steps, measuring 62 meters high, surrounded by the extensive funerary complex of Pharaoh Djoser, enclosed by a large wall.
  • After breakfast, prepare to continue your tour to Cairo, Alexandria, and a Nile cruise for a wonderful adventure in the coastal city of Alexandria in a private air-conditioned car with an Egyptologist guide, starting with:
  • The Catacombs
    • It represents the largest tomb of the Roman era in Egypt, featuring three floors of tombs carved into the rock with a depth of 35 meters.
  • Pompey's Pillar
    • Erected in the year 300 AD during the reign of the Roman emperor Diocletian, it is considered one of the most important monuments in Alexandria.
    • You will enjoy lunch at a fish restaurant before visiting:
  • Qaitbey Fortress
    • One of the most important fortresses built in Egypt in the 15th century AD by the order of Sultan Qaitbey. The Qaitbey Fortress was constructed on the same site as the Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
  • The Library of Alexandria
    • The great Library of Alexandria is one of the largest cultural centers in the world, commemorating the ancient library of Alexandria.
  • At the end of the day, we return to the hotel in Cairo, where you will spend the night.
  • In the morning, enjoy breakfast before leaving the hotel for Cairo airport to take the flight to Aswan.
  • Upon arrival, visit the most important attractions in Aswan:
    • The Aswan High Dam
This remarkable project was built between 1960 and 1970 through cooperation between Russia and Egypt. The High Dam is crucial for controlling the flooding of the Nile and generating electricity.
    • The Temple of Philae
This temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis, the goddess of motherhood in ancient Egypt. According to legend, the god Osiris was killed by the god Set, the god of evil, and was resurrected by the tears of his wife, Isis, who took refuge on the Island of Philae. The Temple of Philae was relocated to Ejelica Island by UNESCO between 1964 and 1968 to protect it from the rising waters of the Nile after the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
  • Enjoy lunch on a 5-star cruise before concluding the day with a visit to the attractions.
  • After the Aswan visits, accommodation will be provided on a 5-star luxury boat, where we will spend the night on board.
  • On the fifth day of your 9-day trip in Egypt, enjoy breakfast on the boat.
  • You will accompany your tour guide to visit:
  • The Temple of Kom Ombo
  • The Temple of Kom Ombo, which means "Pile of Gold," was built during the Greco-Roman era between 205 BC and 180 AD.
  • The temple is divided into two sections; one dedicated to the god Sobek (the crocodile god) and the other dedicated to the god Hor-wer, which means Horus the Great.
  • We will return to the boat for lunch.
  • We will spend the rest of the day and night on board.
  • Your guide will accompany you after breakfast to visit:
  • The Temple of Edfu is one of the last temples built during the Ptolemaic era, between 237 BC and 57 AD. It is the main temple dedicated to the god Horus, the god of protection in ancient Egypt. According to the myth of the god Osiris and the goddess Isis, part of the combat between Osiris (the god of good) and his brother Set (the god of evil in ancient Egypt) occurred at this site. The architecture of this temple and its wall paintings are remarkable.
  • At the end of the tour, we return to the cruise ship for lunch and sailing to Luxor. We arrive in the evening and spend the night on board.
  • We leave the ship after breakfast. Your guide will accompany you by private air-conditioned car to visit the most important sites in Luxor.
  • The Valley of the Kings: This site features the most important tombs of the kings from the New Kingdom period (1570-1070 BC). It contains 63 tombs adorned with magnificent decorations of pharaohs such as Ramses I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, IX, X, Amenophis I, Hatshepsut, and Tutankhamun (the most visited tomb in the Valley). The Valley of the Kings was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
  • The Temple of Hatshepsut: Known as "Djeser Djeseru," meaning the holy sanctuary, this majestic temple was built for one of ancient Egypt's most powerful pharaohs, Queen Hatshepsut. Constructed in 1479 BC during the New Kingdom, it took 15 years to complete and was dedicated to the god Amun-Ra, serving as her mortuary temple.
  • The Colossi of Memnon: These two colossal statues, carved from sandstone, stand 18 meters high and weigh 720 tons each, depicting Pharaoh Amenophis III (1386-1350 BC). Damaged by an earthquake in 27 BC, they were restored in 199 AD. The Colossi gained fame during Greco-Roman times for the sounds they produced at dawn.
  • Karnak Temple: Known as "Pr Imn," meaning the house of Amun, this is one of the largest temple complexes in the world. It contains sanctuaries for several gods, including Osiris, Isis, and Ptah, but is primarily dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.
  • At the end of the day, you will be accommodated in a 5-star hotel in Luxor, spending the night there.
