Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Airport to Sigiriya

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) and transfer to Sigiriya via Pinnawala. Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and the Golden Rock Cave Temple in Dambulla. Check-in to the hotel and leisure time. Overnight stay at Sigiriya Hotel (4-star category, half board meals).

After breakfast, climb the Lions Rock Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and explore the Ceylon Spices and Herbal Garden in Matale. Visit Alu Viharaya Temple and proceed to Kandy. Explore Peradeniya Botanical Garden and attend a traditional Kandyan cultural dance show in the evening. Overnight stay at Kandy Hotel (4-star category, half board meals).

After breakfast, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Visit a Ceylon Tea Plantation and Tea Factory, and Ramboda Waterfall. Enjoy and relax at Gregory Lake and Park. Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya Hotel (4-star category, half board meals).

Our tour was excellent, and we were so impressed by the service from Inshaf, the main operator, and Ilham, our young driver. Ilham was incredibly kind and helpf (Read More)ul throughout the journey. Even though we planned our trip just a few weeks in advance, they provided a great itinerary and excellent hotels. We had breakfast and dinner included for the entire trip, which was very convenient. A special thanks for the train journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella; tickets are usually booked a month in advance, but they managed to secure first-class seats for us! It was a beautiful journey. We loved visiting Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, Bentota, and Colombo. It was a wonderful experience for us.
