Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi
  • Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
  • Enjoy a brief safari briefing and relax as you prepare for the adventure ahead.
  • Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Nairobi's attractions, such as the Giraffe Centre, the Karen Blixen Museum, or the National Museum.
  • Overnight stay in Nairobi.
  • After breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge.
  • In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive across the park's open plains, with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of elephants and diverse wildlife.
  • Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
  • Spend a full day exploring Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives.
  • Observe elephants strolling beneath the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro and spot other wildlife, such as lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and a variety of bird species. You may also visit a local Maasai village to experience their rich culture.

At the company, we understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while also considering the operational commitments we make on your behalf.
1. Cancellation by the Guest:
  • 45 days or more prior to departure : Full refund, less a 10% administrative fee.
  • 45 - 30 days prior to departure : 75% refund of total safari cost.
  • 30 - 21 days prior to departure : 50% refund of total safari cost.
  • 21 days or less prior to departure / No-show : No refund.

2. Cancellation by the company:
  • In the unlikely event that we must cancel your safari due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters, park closures, or political instability), you will be offered:
    • A full refund, or
    • The option to reschedule to a future date at no extra cost.

3. Amendments & Rescheduling:
  • Date changes requested more than 30 days prior to departure may be accommodated subject to availability, with no penalty.
  • Date changes requested within 30 days of departure will be subject to price changes as per itinerary due to last-minute price adjustments by lodges and camps.

4. Refunds:
  • All refunds will be processed within 30 business days, less bank or transaction charges.

5. Travel Insurance:
  • We strongly recommend guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected events, medical emergencies, or trip interruptions.

Having done already many safaris im several countries in the past, we might be c (Read More)onsidered as more or less experienced safari tourists. Still, our experience with Bush Mosaic - Brenda, Alex and James - was above expectations. Might be because this was our first visit to Kenya… We did have a little over a week to see the beauty of Kenya. Brenda created a package for us to visit Masai Mara NP, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli NP with a private driver/guide (James!). Notably Masai Mara (because of all the animals!) and Amboseli (the back drop of the Kilimanjaro!) were amazing.
One minor point was that it involved a lot of driving (we did not do our map-hom (Read More)ework). Another was that we had not realised that in these parks it was not allowed to do walking safaris, as we were used in doing in parks in countries such as Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. For the rest: excellent work!

Judith and Christine however made it all possible. Good quality stays everywhere, regular communication through the trip to ensure we were ok and were getting what we wanted.
