Upon arrival, you will be met by the company representative and the driver guide. After a meet and greet, you will be briefed about your safari and then depart for Amboseli National Park, driving through the scenic Maasai/Kamba plains along Nairobi-Mombasa road. You will have a stopover at Emali town, then continue to arrive for lunch at the camp. After lunch, you will depart for the afternoon game drive. A visit to this park will confirm that while Mount Kilimanjaro is located in neighboring Tanzania, the best views are from the Kenyan side. On a clear day, you will be able to get a splendid view of this snow-capped mountain; Africa’s highest mountain. This park is the perfect place to see some of the big five up close - especially the elephants. If you are lucky, you can see a herd of more than 50 elephants in one go. All the big five are also well represented except the Rhino. Other animals include the Cheetah, Wild dogs, the Maasai Giraffe, Zebra, Crocodile in Lake Amboseli, the Mongoose, Hyrax, Dik-dik, Lesser Kudu, and Nocturnal Porcupine together with a prolific birdlife featuring over 600 species. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Amboseli Lodge.
On this day, you will wake up for the morning game drive with a chance to see the beauty of sunrise. You will return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast, you may relax by the pool or in the comfort of your room until lunch. After lunch, you go for another game drive and explore this park further. Alternatively, you may leave with a packed lunch and have a full day game drive, then return to the lodge late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Amboseli Lodge.
Early breakfast on request, at 0700 hrs you will depart for Lake Nakuru via the Nairobi Southern bypass road. You will have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint where you will view the effects of land faulting processes. You will proceed to arrive for lunch at the lodge. After lunch, you will have game drives in this Park, which is also known as a bird watchers’ paradise. With suitable water levels, flocks of flamingos are found on Lake Nakuru turning it pink. It is also home to the endangered black rhino, big cats among other wildlife, and a prime area to see the Nocturnal Leopard on a lucky day. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
After breakfast, you will depart for Masai Mara with a game drive en route. You will arrive in time for lunch. Upon arrival, you will check in followed by lunch. This afternoon, you explore Maasai Mara with a visit to the locals for cultural updates. As you arrive at the village, excited children and adults welcome you with songs and dance. At certain times, one of the dancers will jump up and down gracefully. The jumps are several feet high! You will be invited to try jumping too, but to your dismay, you will be no match for their levitation act! You will then be welcomed into one of the homesteads in the village. The village huts (called manyatta) are made of cow dung and clay plastered over stick frames. It is a memorable experience of its own. This part is paid by self, assisted by the driver guide. After familiarizing with the area, you proceed for afternoon game drives until evening when you return for dinner and relax under the stars, falling asleep to the sounds of the bush. Dinner & overnight at Sentrim Mara Camp.
On this day, you will take breakfast at the camp then depart with a packed lunch. You proceed with a game drive in search of the big five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast game reserve. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange-tinged sunsets well worth capturing on camera. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara, you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. Back to camp in the evening. Dinner & overnight at Sentrim Mara Camp.
One more day in this game reserve to explore its wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. You have more extensive game drives to capture the scenes that were not captured in other game drives. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Mara Camp.
Breakfast at the camp then you will check out and depart to Lake Naivasha, one of Kenya’s freshwater lakes. You will have a brief stopover at Narok town after which you will proceed to the floor of the Rift Valley to arrive in time for lunch at the Lodge. After lunch, the driver will assist you in getting the boatmen who will take you for the boat ride to Lake Naivasha. You do a short briefing from the boatmen and proceed for the ride. The boat takes you on a scenic tour of the lake overlooking Crescent Island, which is an Animal and Bird Sanctuary on the Eastern Side of Lake Naivasha. You may opt to take a walk on the Island where a number of mammals can be seen grazing in the surrounding lake environs such as Maasai giraffe, zebra, dik-diks, steenbok, impala, gazelles, and hippos at night. At 1700 hrs, you will return to where you had left your driver then drive to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Cresent Camp.
After breakfast, you will check out and depart at 0700 hrs for Nairobi directly to JKIA airport in time to check in for your departure flight home.
