Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Guwahati Airport/Railway Station/Hotel → Nongstoin [Distance: Approx. 220 km; Travel Time: Approx. 7 Hrs]
- After breakfast, begin your scenic drive towards Nongstoin via Rani Road.
- En route, stop at Markham Valley and Elephant Falls.
- If time permits, visit Mawphanlur village.
- Check in to your hotel in Nongstoin for an overnight stay.
- All based on your arrival time in Guwahati
Day 2 Nongstoin Sightseeing → Cherrapunji - [Distance: Approx. 240 km; Travel Time: Approx. 8 Hrs]
- Explore attractions around Nongstoin, including:
- Weinia Falls
- Mawlyngkhar Zuko Valley
- Nongkhnum Island
- Stop at Wahrilang View Point before proceeding to Cherrapunji for an overnight stay.
Day 3 Cherrapunji Local Sightseeing
- Explore Cherrapunji
- Visit the following attractions:
- Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point
- Lyngksiar Falls
- Wei Sawdong Falls
- Nohkalikai Falls
- Kynrem Waterfall
- Mawsmai Cave
- Overnight stay in Cherrapunji
- Note: The driver will cover as many sightseeing points as possible depending on weather, traffic, and available time.
Day 4 Nongriat Trek (Full Day)
- After breakfast, trek to Tyrna Village.
- Reach the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.
- Visit the Blue Lagoon.
- Explore Rainbow Falls.
- Return to Cherrapunji for an overnight stay.
- The trek involves approximately 7,000 steps and takes around 6–7 hours to complete.
Day 5 Cherrapunji → Mawlynnong → Dawki -[ Distance: Approx. 90 km;Travel Time: Approx. 3 Hours ]
- After breakfast, drive towards Mawlynnong, famously known as Asia's Cleanest Village.
- Stroll through its beautifully maintained lanes and admire the traditional Khasi lifestyle.
- Visit the famous Living Root Bridge nearby.
- Continue to Dawki, home to the crystal-clear Umngot River, where optional boating can be enjoyed (payment to be made directly).
- Visit the India–Bangladesh border viewpoint and spend time enjoying the tranquil riverside atmosphere.
Day 6 Dawki → Shillong[Distance: Approx. 160 km; Travel Time: Approx. 5–6 Hours]
- After breakfast, begin your journey towards Shillong while exploring some of Meghalaya's most scenic attractions.
- Visit the dramatic Laitlum Canyons, which offer breathtaking panoramic views of deep valleys and cliffs.
- Continue to the beautiful Phe Phe Falls, a hidden waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.
- Later, visit the famous Krang Suri Waterfalls, known for its crystal-clear blue waters and picturesque setting.
- After sightseeing, proceed to Shillong and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 7 Shillong Local Sightseeing
- After breakfast, explore the charming hill station of Shillong.
- Begin with the fascinating Don Bosco Museum, which showcases the rich culture and heritage of North-East India.
- Visit the colorful Lady Hydari Park, followed by the adjacent Butterfly Museum, home to an impressive collection of butterflies and insects.
- Continue to the peaceful Ward's Lake, a beautiful artificial lake surrounded by gardens and walking paths.
- Later, drive past the lush Shillong Golf Course, one of India's oldest natural golf courses.
- In the evening, spend leisure time at Police Bazaar, Shillong's bustling shopping and dining hub, where you can shop for local handicrafts and savor authentic Khasi cuisine before returning to your hotel.
- Overnight Stay: Shillong
Day 8 Shillong → Guwahati Airport/Railway Station -[Distance: Approx. 100 km,Travel Time: Approx. 3 Hours]
- After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive towards Guwahati.
- En route, stop at the scenic Umiam Lake (Barapani), one of Meghalaya's most picturesque attractions.
- Enjoy panoramic lake views and optional boating activities at Umiam Lake.
- Continue your journey to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
- Note: Sightseeing at Umiam Lake will be covered depending on your departure schedule from Guwahati Airport/Railway Station.
- We recommend reaching the airport at least 2–3 hours before your flight departure.

- Please note that the Dzire cab does not have a luggage carrier on top. Luggage must be adjusted accordingly within the vehicle's dikki (rear trunk).

It was a great experience with Inderoots Travel. The way they planned the journey and selected the places was impressive. I truly loved and enjoyed every moment. It was a luxe trip, and the destinations they chose were absolutely wonderful.
On the first day, the hotel had not been checked for a king-size bed, so I ended up with a twin-size bed instead. Since this was my honeymoon trip, it was quite disappointing. I informed the team and requested that they double-confirm the bed type with every hotel going forward to avoid such issues.
