Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Your safari begins in Nairobi, where our  Director will warmly receive you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel. After a short meet, greet, and safari briefing, you will depart Nairobi and begin your journey to Amboseli National Park, a drive of approximately four hours. You will arrive at Amboseli Sopa Lodge around lunchtime. After check-in, you will enjoy lunch and have some time to relax after the journey. Later in the afternoon, our professional safari guide will take you out for your first game drive in Amboseli National Park.

After breakfast, you will set out for a full day game drive in Amboseli National Park, a beautiful wildlife destination known as the home of large elephant herds and one of the best places to enjoy views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Lunch will be served during the game drive, allowing you to spend more time in the wilderness. Later, you will continue exploring the park before returning to Amboseli Sopa Lodge in the evening.

After a hot breakfast, you will leave Amboseli and begin your journey towards Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed for a boat safari on the lake. After the boat safari, you will continue to Lake Nakuru, where you will check in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will set out for a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Our professional safari guide will help you explore the best areas of the park before you exit and begin your journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will arrive in the Masai Mara in the late evening and check in at PrideInn Mara Camp.

You will wake up in the Masai Mara, where the morning begins with cool air, golden light, and the sounds of the wild. After breakfast, you will leave the camp with packed lunch for a full day game drive across the reserve. This day is dedicated to the Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration Safari experience.

Today gives you another full day in the Masai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast, you will leave the camp with packed lunch and spend the day exploring different areas of the reserve. You will stay on the lookout for big cats, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

After breakfast at the camp, you will check out and begin the final day of your safari. Before leaving the Masai Mara area, you may visit a traditional Maasai village for a cultural experience. After the cultural visit, you will depart the Masai Mara and drive back to Nairobi.

All arrangements including hotel, game drives, food arrangements, personalised s (Read More)ervices by İmara Destinations was excellent We started our trip from New Delhi to Nairobi via Mumbai by Indigo flight. Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives. Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted.
