Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra/ NJP and Transfer to Phuntsholing
- Meet and greet at Bagdogra Airport and drive to Phuntsholing via the Beautiful Doors Tea Garden. The drive takes approximately 4 hours.
- Check into the hotel and take a rest.
- Evening stroll around Zangdupelri Chorten and Phuntsholing town.
- Overnight stay in Phuntsholing.
Day 2 Drive to Thimphu and Sightseeing on the way
- After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to the Immigration office for clearance.
- Drive to Thimphu through scenic forests, hills, and mountains, which will take approximately 4 hours.
- Stop along the way at Gedhu, Whankha Waterfall, and Chonzom for sightseeing.
- Check in to the hotel and take some time to rest.
- Enjoy an evening stroll around Thimphu Clock Tower Square and the town.
- Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3 Thimphu Local Sightseeing and Drive to Paro
- Buddha Point (Buddha Dordenma Statue), the tallest Buddha statue in the world
- Simply Bhutan, a living museum
- The Royal Textile Museum
- National Institute for Zorig Chusum, showcasing Bhutanese architecture

Day 4 Tiger's Nest Hike OR Chellela Pass Excursion
- After an early breakfast at the hotel, begin the hike to Tiger?s Nest. The hike will take between 5 to 8 hours, depending on the guest's hiking ability.
- This is a must-see location in Bhutan.
- Alternatively, enjoy the Chellela Pass excursion.
- Take in a bird's-eye view of Paro Airport.
- Stroll around Paro town in the evening for last-minute shopping and photography.
- Experience a hot stone bath to relax after the tiring hike to Tiger?s Nest.

I recently completed a Bhutan trip from 20th April to 26th April booked through Asia Valleys Tours and Travels via Holidify, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience.
From the very beginning, everything was well organized and smooth. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, allowing enough time to explore while still feeling relaxed and enjoyable. Every destination in Bhutan felt speci (Read More)al, and the arrangements throughout the journey were handled with great care. Mr. Bharat Gurung, the owner of Asia Valleys Tours and Travels, was very supportive and responsive. He stayed in touch during the planning stage, clarified all details properly, and made sure everything was aligned before the trip started. Even during the trip, he was reachable and checked in when needed, which made things feel more reliable.
A big part of what made this trip so enjoyable was our guide, Sangay, and our driver, Dechen. Sangay was incredibly knowledgeable and shared deep insights about Bhutanese culture, history, and traditions in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. He was always attentive, patient, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included.
Dechen, our driver, was equally wonderful. His driving was safe and smooth, even on the winding mountain roads, which made the journeys between destinations very comfortable. He was always punctual, polite, and had a calm and friendly presence that added to the overall experience.
What truly stood out was the warmth, respect, and positivity both Sangay and Dechen brought to the trip. They were not just guide and driver, but became an important part of the journey—making it fun, stress-free, and filled with good moments. Their coordination and support throughout ensured that everything ran seamlessly.
Overall, the trip was a perfect mix of scenic beauty, cultural experiences, and genuine hospitality. The professionalism and dedication shown by the entire team made this journey truly special.

From the moment we landed at Bagdogra airport, everything was beautifully organized — smooth transfers, comfort (Read More)able stays, and a thoughtfully planned itinerary that allowed us to truly experience Bhutan’s serene beauty. Nothing felt rushed, and each day was well balanced.
A special mention to our guide, Sangay Nidup, and our driver, Amber, who made the journey even more memorable. They were knowledgeable, patient, and always ensured our comfort. We didn’t just visit places — we experienced the culture, food, and hidden gems of Bhutan.
Our package included three hikes in Thimpu, Phobijika valley and Paro. Our guide, Sangay made all hikes very enjoyable and informative sharing his past experiences. He also gave suggestions for shopping in Thimpu/Paro and took us to the local markets and helped us experience the local lifestyle. He was very helpful in taking photos during the trip.
The highlight of the trip was the hike to Tiger’s Nest — challenging, but absolutely worth it. The views and the entire experience were simply magical.

Very nice arrangement. Vehicle, Hotels, Guide, Driver all were very good. Service provided was perfect. All the people were very cooperative and humble.
Food was not good initially but on request they cooked it in our way.
