Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Nairobi Kenya Jomo Kenyatta international airport to Amboseli Sopa lodge
  • You will be picked from the Airport by your safari guide.
  • Drive south east to Amboseli National Park covering an area of 392 square kilometers at an altitude of 1100-1200m A S L, on the Kenya-Tanzania border.
  • Arrive at Amboseli Sopa Lodge around mid-day and check in.
  • Lunch will be served at the lodge, which has a nice view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.
  • In the afternoon, head out for a game drive deep in the park in search of big herds of elephants and buffalos; lions and cheetahs can also be spotted.
  • After sunset, return to the lodge and freshen up before dinner and overnight stay.
  • Meals included: Lunch (L), Dinner (D).
  • Breakfast will be served from 0600hrs.
  • 07:30 hrs: Head out with picnic lunch box for the whole day game drive.
  • Search for the cats believed to be more active in the early hours of the morning.
  • Look out for herds of elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife.
  • Enjoy the hot sun and view Mount Kilimanjaro.
  • Lunch break at the viewpoint with a breathtaking view of the park on a hill.
  • Continue with the game drive after lunch.
  • At around 15:30 hrs, drive back to the lodge.
  • Freshen up and relax before dinner and overnight stay.
  • 06:00 hrs breakfast will be served.
  • 07:00 hrs After breakfast you will check out and drive to Lake Naivasha, through the Great Rift valley with a brief stop at the view point.
  • Drive to Naivasha Sopa for lunch.
  • Later a boat ride around the lake to see different types of birds and hippos.
  • Drive back to the lodge and relax before dinner and overnight stay.
  • Breakfast will be served from 06:30 hrs
  • 07:30 hrs you will check out and drive to Lake Nakuru national, the drive will take approximately 2 hours
  • After clearance at the gate, you will have a game drive in search of the rhinos, the tree climbing lions, among other animals
  • Check in at Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge
  • Lunch will be served from 12:30 hrs
  • Relax before heading out for the afternoon game drive
  • The afternoon game drive will start at 15:30 hrs till sunset
  • In search of the tree climbing lions, the Rothschild giraffes, and rhinos
  • The lake has a good number of birds and few flamingos due to the high level of water
  • You will return to the lodge before dark for dinner and overnight stay
  • 06:30 hrs. Breakfast will be served.
  • 07:30 hrs you will check out and drive to the famous Masai Mara game reserve, a home to the big five: lions, leopard, buffalo, rhinos, and elephant.
  • The park is also known for the annual wildebeest migration.
  • You will arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge.
  • After checking in, lunch will be served.
  • Later, relax before heading out for the afternoon game drive deep inside the savannah in search of the big prides of lions in their territories, cheetahs, leopards, black rhinos, elephants, and buffalos.
  • After sunset, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. (B, L, D)
  • 06:00 hrs breakfast will be served.
  • 07:00 hrs After breakfast you will head out with picnic lunch box for the whole day safari.
  • You will spend the day deep in this savannah grass land, watching animals and driving as far as the Mara river for hippos and crocodiles.
  • You will break for lunch under an acacia tree.
  • After lunch you will continue with the safari before returning to the lodge to freshen up.
  • Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Cancellation Policy

Terms And Conditions
  • Africa Vision Safaris Tours and Travel is an agency acting on behalf of the clients, in respect to the clients request and confirmation. The cost/price are given in Kenya/ Tanzania Shillings or US Dollars and include the government taxes. In the event of any appreciation of the Kenya / Tanzania Shilling of over 5% against the US Dollar, or any changes in applicable taxes, Africa Vision safaris reserves the right to adjust these rates accordingly.
  • Proof of residency is only by identification with a passport, or I D card.
Booking And Reservation
  • Africa Vision Safaris Tours and Travel reserves the Accommodation, Safari package, Tour and sightseeing on behalf of the clients based on the itinerary agreed upon by the clients or the overseas agent. All the bookings are confirmed once the deposit has been made.
Flights and Train
  • Upon confirmation and booking Africa Vision safaris will make the payment to secure the seats, once the tickets are issued the Overseas Agent/ Clients will remit the full payment for the tickets though bank transfer or any other suitable payment mode agreed upon.
Transport
  • Transport is provided as per the company?s policy and any upgrade to an ongoing safari from safari van to safari Jeep 4x4 Toyota land cruiser is subject to availability. Any modification to our vehicles to suit the interest of the client must be communicated at least one month before, i.e. removal or addition of seats.
Child Policy: upto 12 years old
  • Child 0-3 years is free
  • 4 years to 11 years: One or two children sharing with Two (2) adults; each child 50% of per person sharing rate. Maximum 2 children.
  • One child sharing with one adult, child at 50% and adult at ½ of double.
  • One or more children in own room: 75% of room rate.
  • One adult sharing with two children: each child 50% of per person sharing rate and adult at ½ of double.
  • Adult full rate applies to children from 12 years on Accommodation and meals.
Payment Terms
  • Upon confirmation of the itinerary agreed upon, a deposit of 50% will be required depending on the number of persons in the group. Full payment must be made 14 days before the start of any safari. Any unpaid amount may result in the clients being denied continuation with safari or check-in at the Hotels. Cheques should be done at least 45 days before departure day. Should a cheque issued by the agent/client be returned by the bank for any reason the Agent/client shall replace the cheque with Cash, within forty-eight hours. The Agent/client shall also pay any bank charges for the Returned Cheque charged by the bank.
  • All payment by credit card will attract a 5% bank charge.
  • All bank charges are settled by the client.
  • We do not accept US Dollars notes printed before the year 2010.
Cancellation And Refund
  • In the event of a safari being cancelled, Africa Vision safaris will refund the money to the client within 30 days of cancellation, however all the money paid to the hotels, safari lodge and camps will be refunded once the money has been utilized as money is not refunded by the said properties.
  • The following cancellation fees shall apply:
  • 1 day and no show: 100%
  • 2-7 days: 75%
  • 7-14 days: 50%
  • Above 15 days: 25%

Overseas Agent Rates
  • The Agent rates are only on request and are subject to availability, the agent Rates will not apply during peak season, Easter and Christmas Holidays.
Liability
  • Africa Vision safari liability to passengers carried in our vehicles for safari, transfer, excursions are governed by the Laws of Kenya and all claims are subject to the rules and regulations of the Kenyan laws whilst every care is taken to make sure of client safety, the company shall not be held liable for loss or damage to personal property, Clients are advised to arrange relevant insurance.
Check list
  • It is important to get your doctor?s prescription on the best way to protect yourself from malaria, as Kenya and Tanzania are in a tropical zone.
  • Mosquito repellant is recommended.
  • Personal items i.e. Tooth brush, paste, etc.
  • Warm clothes for the evening and night: it gets cold in the evening and at night hence it is good to have a warm jacket.
  • You can enjoy light clothes during the day and at times it gets hot so a hat is also recommended.
  • Sun block lotion.
  • Bring with you a torch, some safari lodges use generators so from midnight it is switched off.
  • Adaptor.
