Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra and Transfer to Phuntsholing
  • Meet and greet at Bagdogra Airport.
  • Drive to Phuntsholing via the Beautiful Doors Tea Garden (approximately 4 hours).
  • Check into the hotel and rest.
  • Evening stroll around Zangdupelri Chorten and Phuntsholing town.
  • Overnight stay in Phuntsholing.
  • After breakfast at the hotel, head to the Immigration office for clearance.
  • Drive to Thimphu through scenic forests, hills, and mountains, which will take approximately 4 hours.
  • Stop along the way at Gedhu, Whankha Waterfall, and Chonzom for sightseeing.
  • Check in to the hotel and take a rest.
  • Enjoy an evening stroll around Thimphu Clock Tower Square and the town.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.
  • After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Punakha for sightseeing. The journey will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • On the way, we will stop at Dochu La Pass for sightseeing and photography. On a clear day, we can see 108 stupas and the beautiful Himalayan ranges.
  • Stop at Chimi Lhakhan (Temple of Fertility). If you are planning to have a baby, this is a must-visit place.
  • Visit Punakha Dzong, the beautiful fortress in Bhutan.
  • Explore Bhutan's longest suspension bridge and interact with locals across the bridge.
  • Drive back to Thimphu.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

From the moment we landed at Bagdogra airport, everything was beautifully organized — smooth transfers, comfort (Read More)able stays, and a thoughtfully planned itinerary that allowed us to truly experience Bhutan’s serene beauty. Nothing felt rushed, and each day was well balanced. A special mention to our guide, Sangay Nidup, and our driver, Amber, who made the journey even more memorable. They were knowledgeable, patient, and always ensured our comfort. We didn’t just visit places — we experienced the culture, food, and hidden gems of Bhutan. Our package included three hikes in Thimpu, Phobijika valley and Paro. Our guide, Sangay made all hikes very enjoyable and informative sharing his past experiences. He also gave suggestions for shopping in Thimpu/Paro and took us to the local markets and helped us experience the local lifestyle. He was very helpful in taking photos during the trip. The highlight of the trip was the hike to Tiger’s Nest — challenging, but absolutely worth it. The views and the entire experience were simply magical.

Very nice arrangement. Vehicle, Hotels, Guide, Driver all were very good. Service provided was perfect. All the people were very cooperative and humble.
Food was not good initially but on request they cooked it in our way.
