Day 1 Bagdogra Airport/NJP to Phuentsholing

Arrival at Bagdogra Airport
Meet and greet by our representative
Assistance with transfer to Phuentsholing, the border and main entrance to Bhutan
Verification of documents at the Phuentsholing immigration checkpoint
Check-in at the hotel
Overnight stay in Phuentsholing

Day 2 Phuentsholing to Thimphu

After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities.
Transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) - 170 KMS, approximately 5 hours.
Thimphu is the capital city of Bhutan.
Check in at the hotel.
Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 3 Phunakha Excursion

After breakfast at the hotel, visit Punakha.
On the way, encounter Dochula Pass, which features 106 stupas along the highway to Punakha.
Later, visit the following attractions in Punakha:

Punakha Dzong
Chimi Lhakhang
Punakha Suspension Bridge

If interested, you may go river rafting, depending on climate conditions and at your own expense.
In the evening, return to Thimphu.
Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 4 Thimphu Sightseeing

Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, is home to the Royal Family.
After breakfast, begin sightseeing in Thimphu.
Visit the following attractions:

Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue)
National Memorial Chorten (Monument)
Simply Bhutan Museum
Folk Heritage Museum
Takin Preservation Centre

In the evening, transfer to Paro.
Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 5 Paro Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, transfer to Paro.
Visit local attractions including:

Ta Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of Bhutanese antiquities.
Rinpung Dzong - the administrative seat of the district of Paro.
Drukgyel Dzong - a heritage site preserved after being destroyed by fire in 1951.
Kyichu Lhakhang - one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Bhutan.

Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 6 Paro Taksang Monastery

After breakfast at the hotel, hike to Taksang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest.
This trek will take approximately 3 hours to climb up and 3 hours to climb down.
Note: Pack your lunch as you may get hungry during the hike.
In the evening, transfer to Phuentsholing.
Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 7 Phuentsholing to Bagdogra Drop

After breakfast at the hotel,
check out and drive to Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey.

Bharat for suggesting and proper guiding for our tour in limited days and it is as per our expectations. The entire trip right from the Bagdogra airport to Bhutan and return to India was completely comfortable , enjoyable and safe. Mr. Bharat was absolutely kind and regular approachable. He made all the arrangements as we have decided before start of the tour. He came personally to welcome our team at Thimpu, was a warm gesture of his hospitality. He was always so kind, polite, and in full control of the tour. He gave us a wonderful guide Miss. Meena and an excellent driver Wanchuk. They are so friendly and helpful, well mannered, well disciplined through out the tour. They become the family members of our team. Meena has taken care of our team at every moments specially when we are going to and coming back from Tiger Nest, she was with the slowest walking member of our team, who is coming down. Meena explained the wonders of all the sites we visited in most interesting way. She is extremely knowledgeable about everything of Bhutan. She is a great guide. Wanchuk, is a very cautious and gentle driver and he drove us safely everywhere we went. His driving is so smooth and enjoyable. During his driving he also explain the importance of some sites . He was very punctual regarding timing. Bhutan is indeed a wonderful piece of heaven on earth. The nature, the scenic beauty, the valleys, the hills, the mountains, the spiral roads, the fresh air, the dreamy cool climate makes it a piece of heaven on earth. We all the team members want to visit Bhutan again with Asia Valleys Tours and Travels. Thank you once again for their great Hospitality to Mr Bharat, Miss Meena and driver Wangchuk in Bhutan. From the very beginning, their team was responsive and attentive, creating a bespoke itinerary perfectly tailored to our needs. The accommodations were outstanding and seamlessly planned. Every single property selected for us was beautiful, clean, and offered stunning views of the surrounding valleys. The hospitality at each stay was warm and genuine, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We never felt rushed and had the exact right balance of sightseeing and relaxation. Our tour guide, Mr.Sonam was fantastic and extremely patient, and answered all our questions. Special Thanks to our driver, Mr. Doranji who navigated the winding roads safely and kept our vehicle spotless every single day. I have deducted one star as our smooth experience unfortunately fell short on the final day due to a major transport disappointment and Missed our last sightseeing. The vehicle provided for our last day towards Airport from Phuenstsheling to Bagdogra was uncomfortable, and not up to the standard of the rest of the tour. It was a frustrating end , otherwise it was beautifully curated itinerary. Despite the final day's transport issue, I would still recommend this tour, but I highly advise double-checking your vehicle arrangements.
