Detailed Itinerary
- Upon your arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, begin your journey to Bhalukpong, the entry hub of Arunachal Pradesh.
- En route, visit Nameri National Park.
- Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
- After breakfast, proceed to Dirang (5-6 hours), a small hill station in the West Kameng district.
- Enjoy the spectacular landscape and beautiful nature that will surely please your eyes and comfort your body and soul.
- Visit Kalachakra Gompa, also referred to as Dirang Monastery, and experience the serene surroundings.
- Witness the Kiwi Orchids, then visit Dirang Dzong (fort), which is about 150 years old and offers an excellent view of the surroundings.
- Upon arrival at Dirang, check into the hotel.
- In the evening, you are free to visit the hot water spring, regional sheep farm, Sangti, and Yak Research Center.
- Enjoy a wholesome breakfast.
- Drive to Tawang (6-7 hours).
- Visit the scenic Sela Pass, the only route connecting the Tawang district to the rest of the country.
- Experience the breathtaking views of the eastern Himalayan range at Sela Pass, which is always covered in snow.
- En route, visit the famous Sela Lake.
- Upon reaching Tawang, check in to your hotel.
- After breakfast, start your day with a breathtaking view of Shonga-tser Lake (Madhuri Lake), surrounded by snow-capped mountains and offering a spectacular view of the valley.
- Next, move on to Bum La Pass (optional), located about 37 km away from Tawang, which is the Indo-China border that lies at 15,200 ft above sea level.
- On your way back, stop by Heart Lake, PTSO Lake, and Nagula Lake, which will surely enhance your day.
- After this, return to your hotel.
- After breakfast, enjoy a full-day local sightseeing tour of Tawang, covering:
- Tawang Monastery – the largest monastery in India and a major spiritual center
- Tawang War Memorial – dedicated to Indian soldiers of the 1962 war
- Local markets for souvenirs and handicrafts
- Buddha Statue and local viewpoints
- After breakfast, we will travel to Bomdila (7-8 hours).
- Visit the Bomdila Monastery, established in 1965.
- Explore over 5000 varieties of orchids, including some of the rarest species, at the Tipi Orchidarium. This will be shown to you the next day.
- Enjoy a spectacular view from the Bomdila View Point and witness the impeccable beauty of Bomdila.
- In the evening, visit the local market.
- Afterwards, return to your hotel.
- Today is the last day of this tour.
- After breakfast at the hotel, you may visit the local market, depending on your flight or train schedule.
- Following your visit, you will be dropped off at the airport or railway station.
