Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi – Transfer to Amboseli National Park
Upon arrival in Kenya, set off for Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. The afternoon is yours to relax before heading out on your first game drive. Amboseli is world-renowned for its large herds of free-roaming African elephants set against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro—Africa’s tallest peak. The park’s open plains, swampy springs, and views from Observation Hill make for stunning photo ops, especially at sunset.

After breakfast, journey toward Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Crescent Island Wildlife Sanctuary, accessible via a short boat ride or road transfer. This hidden gem is one of Kenya’s few walking safari destinations, offering close-up encounters with giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, and over 200 species of birds. The lake is also home to pods of hippos that can be spotted from the shoreline.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru, enjoying the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley. Stop briefly at the Subukia Viewpoint for panoramic views. All arrangements including hotel, game drives, food arrangements, personalised s (Read More)ervices by İmara Destinations was excellent We started our trip from New Delhi to Nairobi via Mumbai by Indigo flight. Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives. Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted. Well done İmara Destinations. Thanks to Dennis and Murray for it
