Detailed Itinerary
On arrival, pickup from the airport and transfer to Shillong (4,900 ft.), known as 'Scotland of the East'. En route, visit Umium Lake, a tranquil lake surrounded by sylvan hills. Enjoy boating and take a stroll on the beautiful lake. Check in at your hotel.
After an early breakfast, start a full-day excursion to Jowai, the headquarters of the Jaintia Hills district, situated 66 km away from Shillong. Visit India's most magical waterfall, Krang Suri, and later drive to Tryshi Waterfalls. Enjoy breathtaking views from the bridge and stop at Thadlaskein Lake for boating. Proceed to Dawki for an overnight stay.
Post breakfast, proceed to Mawlynnong, visit the Living Root Bridge and Mawlynnong Village, Asia's cleanest village. Enjoy boating on the Umngot River and local sightseeing at Dawki. Visit the Bangladesh border and indulge in tranquility at Shnongpdeng. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Early morning, head to Tyrna village, a ½ hour drive from Cherrapunji. Trek to Nongriat Village and the Double Decker Root Bridge. Visit the scenic Rainbow Falls and trek back to Tyrna village for an overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Post breakfast, explore Cherrapunjee, the heaviest rainfall destination in the world. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Eco Park, and various other waterfalls and caves. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Early morning visit to Kamakhya Devi Temple, located around 15 km from Guwahati City. After the darshan, proceed to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station.
