Day 1 Arrival and Check in at Gangtok Hotel
- Arrival in Gangtok on your own.
- Check-in at a hotel located near Mall Road.
- Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim, offering a blend of tranquility and adventure.
- Experience the land of monasteries, mystic rituals, and festivals at an altitude of 1,670 meters (5,480 feet).
- Gangtok is one of the most visited spots in India.
- Enjoy the beauty of the town, which features a variety of rhododendrons, orchids, and butterflies.
- Evening free to explore M.G. Road (Mall) or the local shopping center.
- Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 2 Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
- Morning breakfast at the hotel
- Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, approximately 40 kilometers and a 2-hour drive along the Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary, home to the red panda and the blood pheasant, with Rhododendron and other alpine trees
- Situated at an elevation of 3,753 meters (12,310 feet)
- The lake is oval-shaped and nearly 50 feet deep
- Generally covered in snow for most of the year
- This lake is home to Brahminy ducks and many migratory birds
- Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir, known to be a very holy site for all
- Nathu La Pass to the Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometers away and is an optional tour
- Return to Gangtok
- Evening free to explore M.G. Road (Mall) or the local shopping center on your own
- Overnight stay in Gangtok
- Suggestion Note:
- Nathu La Pass is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for tourists
- Nathu La Pass visit is subject to the availability of the In-Line Permit (ILP)
- The In-Line Permit (ILP) will be arranged by our executive for an additional charge; for this, you will need to provide a copy of your ID proof and a passport-sized photograph
Day 3 Gangtok Local Sightseeing
- Morning breakfast
- After breakfast, drive for the city tour of Gangtok
- Sightseeing will be for half a day, ensuring an easy and comfortable drive
- It is not possible to cover all the spots in a single day; therefore, the program is designed to cover points with minimal distance traveled
- Visit the following attractions:
- Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom
- Research Institute of Tibetology
- Do Drul Chorten (Stupa)
- Enchey Monastery
- White Hall
- Flower Show
- Garden Ganesh Tok
- Hanuman Tok
- Tashi View Point
- Banjhakri Falls, one of the finest falls close to Gangtok
- Return to the hotel
- Evening free to explore M G Road (Mall) or the local shopping center
- There are a few discotheques in Gangtok to spend time
- Overnight stay at Gangtok
Day 4 Transfer to Darjeeling
- After breakfast at the hotel, proceed on a journey to Darjeeling.
- The road is scenic and passes through Gyalshing and Jorethang.
- The transfer to Darjeeling covers nearly 135 kilometers and takes approximately 3 to 3.5 hours.
- Darjeeling is situated at an altitude of 2,123 meters (7,000 feet).
- It is a land of breathtaking beauty, featuring sloping tea gardens and spectacular views of Mount Everest, earning it the title "Queen of the Hills."
- Darjeeling is home to many international schools and several internationally renowned sites, including:
- Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
- Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park
- Darjeeling Himalayan Railway
- It is also home to the famous World Heritage train, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR).
- Check into the hotel.
- Evening free for leisure activities.
- Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 5 Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
- Early morning drive at around 3:45 AM to an elevation of 8,000 feet (2,440 meters) through primitive forests of oak and magnolia to Tiger Hill to view the sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather).
- On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery, the Peace Memorial, and Batasia Loop.
- Return to the hotel for breakfast.
- After breakfast, rest for half an hour.
- Next, embark on the second round of sightseeing:
- Half-day city tour includes:
- Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park
- Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday)
- Ropeway
- Tensing Gumpo Rock

Trip to Shillong
We had booked a Shimla–Manali package through Mr. David, who made several promises regarding 3-star hotel accommodations and quality services. However, our experience was completely different from what was assured.
In Shimla, although the hotel staff was polite, the hotel was located deep inside a jungle/isolated area. We were the only guests staying there, which made the situation extremely un (Read More)safe and uncomfortable, especially my wife is travelling with me. Staying in such a secluded place without other guests or proper surroundings felt highly insecure.
In Manali, the hotel services were very poor. The room did not have a smart TV, there was no heater provided, and even the basic TV had no working channels. We were charged extra for almost every basic facility, which should ideally be included in the package. We had no issues with the driver’s behavior, as he was polite and well-mannered. However, despite paying the full amount for the package, he chose unsafe and unfamiliar routes late at night, seemingly to avoid toll taxes. This made us feel very unsafe during the journey Overall, the experience did not match the promises made at the time of booking. We are highly disappointed and would not recommend this service to anyone.
