Detailed Itinerary
- Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport.
- After completing immigration and baggage collection, proceed to the arrival lobby.
- Meet and greet by our airport representative, who will welcome you with garlands and a small gift.
- Transfer to Negombo (approximately 20-30 minutes).
- Check in to the Negombo Hotel.
- Evening stroll along Beach Road.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Negombo.
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Short city tour of Negombo, including St. Mary's Church, Negombo Beach and Lagoon, and the Negombo Fish Market.
- Proceed to Dambulla (approximately 4 to 5 hours).
- Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple and the Golden Temple of Dambulla.
- Lunch at a local restaurant in Dambulla.
- Continue to Sigiriya and check into the Sigiriya Hotel.
- Afternoon jeep safari at Hurulu Eco Park or Minneriya National Park (subject to elephant movement).
- Dinner and overnight stay in Sigiriya.
- Early breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer to Sigiriya. Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress and climb the rock (approximately 2-3 hours; start climbing early in the morning).
- Experience a Sigiriya Village Tour (without lunch), which includes a bullock cart ride, a catamaran boat ride, a tuk-tuk or tractor ride, a visit to a local farmhouse, and a cookery demonstration with a complimentary snack and black tea.
- Proceed towards Kandy via Matale.
- Lunch at a local restaurant in Matale.
- En route, there is an optional visit to a spice garden in Matale and the Sri Muthumariamman Temple in Matale.
- Upon arrival in Kandy, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, enjoy a cultural dance performance, and take a walk around Kandy Lake.
- Check into the Kandy Hotel.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Proceed to Bentota. En route, visit the gem museum and enjoy a shopping experience in Kandy, the Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya, and the Giragama Tea Factory for tea plucking (seasonal), a factory visit, tea tasting, and purchasing.
- Lunch at a local restaurant in Ambepussa.
- Continue to Bentota (approximately 4-5 hours of total travel time, excluding stops).
- Check into the Bentota Hotel.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Bentota.
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Proceed to Galle. En route, visit the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project (near Ahungalla) and enjoy a boat safari on the Madu River.
- Continue to Galle.
- Lunch in Galle.
- Visit Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and take a walk within the fort.
- Return to Bentota.
- Overnight stay in Bentota.
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer to Mount Lavinia Railway Station for a scenic coastal train journey, ending at Fort Railway Station.
- Meet your driver upon arrival.
- Lunch at a Chinese restaurant.
- Proceed with a Colombo city tour, including the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Independence Memorial Hall, Colombo National Museum, Viharamahadevi Park, Old City Hall area, Old Parliament, Colombo Harbour, Galle Face Green, Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque (Red Mosque, Fort), Beira Lake, and nearby religious landmarks.
- Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
