Day 1 Arrival and Transfer to Masai Mara
  • You will be picked up by your driver-guide from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
  • Depart for Masai Mara via road, which takes approximately 6 hours.
  • Masai Mara is located in the southwestern part of Kenya, bordering Tanzania's Serengeti National Park to the south.
  • This region forms one of the most important wildlife ecosystems in the world.
  • Masai Mara covers 1,510 km², including private conservancies.
  • It is home to all the Big Five.
  • Upon arrival at Masai Mara, check in at Ashnil Surana Mara Camp.
  • Refresh and enjoy your lunch at the camp.
  • Wake up early for an optional hot air balloon safari with a champagne breakfast.
  • Return to the camp for a short rest.
  • Go on a morning game drive, the best time for predator sightings when they are most active.

  • The park covers 188 km² and features a shallow, alkaline soda lake.
  • Arrive and check in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, and enjoy lunch.
  • In the evening, go for a game drive where you may see rhinos, buffaloes, lions, and large flocks of flamingoes.
  • Continue with an afternoon game drive around the park.

All arrangements including hotel, game drives, food arrangements, personalised s (Read More)ervices by İmara Destinations was excellent We started our trip from New Delhi to Nairobi via Mumbai by Indigo flight. Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives. Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted. Well done İmara Destinations. Thanks to Dennis and Murray for it

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.
