Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at JKIA Airport to Lake Naivasha
  • You will be met by the company representative and driver guide after clearing customs at JKIA Airport.
  • You will receive a briefing about the tour before departing for Lake Naivasha.
  • On the way, there will be a stop for a scenic view at the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
  • You will arrive at Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp in time for lunch.
  • Lake Naivasha is one of the freshwater lakes in the Rift Valley, surrounded by papyrus swamps and yellow fever tree forests.
  • This acacia forest is home to various animals, including zebras, giraffes, and hippos.
  • In the afternoon, the driver will assist you in finding a boatman for a ride on the lake to Crescent Island.
  • During the ride, you will look out for various bird species, including pelicans and African fish eagles, as well as spot zebras, waterbucks, and giraffes grazing.
  • There are chances to see hippos along the banks of the lake.
  • You will return to Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, a premier park with a salty lake in Kenya.
  • Upon arrival, check in at Lake Nakuru Lodge for a nap.

All arrangements including hotel, game drives, food arrangements, personalised s (Read More)ervices by İmara Destinations was excellent We started our trip from New Delhi to Nairobi via Mumbai by Indigo flight. Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives. Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted. Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.
