Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi - Ol Pejeta Conservancy
  • This is a short, well-planned safari that is not rushed and introduces you to the best of nature.
  • The safari takes you to Kenya's most popular game sanctuary, renowned for its efforts to conserve wildlife and provide a sanctuary for great apes.
  • Proceed to Lake Naivasha, a stunning freshwater lake fringed by thick papyrus, and visit Crescent Island.
  • Finally, go to Kenya's most famous game reserve, the Maasai Mara, renowned for the wildebeest migration.
  • You will be met by our company representative upon arrival at the airport or at your hotel in Nairobi.
  • Start the safari with your driver-guide after a briefing and head north to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, situated on the equator.
  • Ol Pejeta lies west of Nanyuki town, between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya.
  • You will arrive in time for lunch at Comfort Gardens Sweetwaters, a sheltered oasis clustered around a waterhole and set in the pristine calm of the private conservancy.
  • The camp offers a charming blend of under-canvas ambiance and safari luxury.
  • Relax after lunch and go on the afternoon game drive starting at 15:30 until 18:30.
  • Ol Pejeta is one of the best wildlife conservancies in Kenya.
  • You can also visit the chimpanzee and endangered species enclosure.
  • Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
  • A night game drive can be arranged at an extra cost.
  • After breakfast, you will embark on a 4-hour drive toward Lake Naivasha.
  • The name "Naivasha" derives from the local Maasai name "Nai'Posha," meaning "rough water," due to the sudden storms that can arise.
  • On your way, you will have a brief stop at Thomson's Falls, a scenic waterfall that is 74 meters high, located on the Ewaso Ng'iro River a few kilometers from Lake Ol Bolossat.
  • Upon arrival at your accommodation, you will check in, have lunch, and relax.
  • Later, go on an afternoon exploration of this beautiful freshwater lake on a boat ride safari.
  • Disembark on the shores for a walking safari (optional at an extra cost) at the animal sanctuary, where you can see giraffes, Thomson's gazelles, wildebeests, and impalas among other herbivores.
  • Enjoy the sunset over the African horizon as you conclude your afternoon adventure.
  • After breakfast, you will drive 30 minutes to Hell's Gate National Park.
  • Hell's Gate National Park is located between Lake Naivasha and the Longonot and Suswa volcanoes.
  • The park is covered by ashes from the Longonot eruption that occurred 100 years ago.
  • It is famous for its geothermal station, Lower Gorge, and spectacular scenery, including cliffs, volcanoes, gorges, and geothermal steam.
  • It is the only national park where you can tour by bicycle.
  • Upon arrival at the gate, you will cycle 7 kilometers to the gorge and back, or you may choose to continue on and exit at Olkaria Gate, where your driver guide will be waiting for you.
  • If anyone gets weary or tired, your driver guide can follow you and pick them up, allowing you to continue with the safari vehicle.
  • You will drive through the scenic Rift Valley, enjoying amazing views of Mt. Longonot.
  • Cycling is optional at an extra cost.
  • You will arrive in the town of Narok for lunch, and later proceed to check in at your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
  • The second day in the Mara will be spent exploring the extensive grasslands of the Masai Mara on a full-day game drive.
  • You will receive a packed lunch and enjoy a picnic in the wild.
  • The Masai Mara National Reserve is renowned for hosting the great wildebeest migration.
  • Millions of wildebeest cross the Mara River every year from the Serengeti in search of grazing pastures.
  • As they make their way across the Mara River, some are preyed upon by hungry crocodiles waiting on the riverbanks (from mid-June until the end of October).
  • The great migration, listed as one of the Wonders of the World, is an unforgettable experience.
  • In addition to the wildebeest, the Masai Mara is home to other animals such as waterbucks, baboons, gazelles, monkeys, impalas, and Maasai giraffes.
  • The reserve also hosts over 500 bird species.
  • You will seek shade under an acacia tree for your picnic lunch, enjoying amazing views of the savannah.
  • Return to the camp at around 17:00.
  • Enjoy a sunrise breakfast at the camp.
  • Drive back to Nairobi through the Loita Plains.
  • Travel through the floor of the Great Rift Valley.
  • Arrive in Nairobi in the early afternoon.

My wife and I recently went on a safari tour in Kenya for our honeymoon, traveling all the way from Canada. At first, we were a bit nervous about visiting Kenya, but booking with World Fire Vacations (Read More)turned out to be the best decision we could have made! From the moment we landed, everything was perfectly organized. We were picked up right at the airport and safely transported to our hotel with no stress at all. The next day, we were introduced to our safari driver and guide, Sammy—and wow, what an amazing person he is! Sammy was absolutely phenomenal. Throughout the entire trip, he shared so much knowledge about Kenya’s wildlife, culture, and people. He made sure we always felt comfortable, safe, and on time for every activity. During our game drives, he went above and beyond to ensure we had the best views and perfect photo opportunities. His passion for his country and his job truly made our experience unforgettable. There were even days when Sammy drove long hours—sometimes up to eight hours straight—just to make sure we reached our destinations and meals on time. His dedication and professionalism were unmatched. Honestly, Sammy made our honeymoon extra special, and we can’t thank him enough! World Fire Vacations also did an incredible job planning our accommodations. Every place we stayed met—and even exceeded—our expectations. The company checked in with us several times during the trip to make sure everything was going smoothly, which we really appreciated. We highly, highly recommend World Fire Vacations to anyone planning a safari or trip to Kenya—and if you can, ask for Sammy as your driver and guide. You won’t regret it!

An Incredible Kenyan Safari Experience with Worldfire Vacations! We had the most unforgettable journey through Kenya, perfectly organized by Worldfire Vacations. From the vast wildlife-rich plains of (Read More) Masai Mara to the serene beauty of Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha, every moment was magical. Our stay in the camp and tent was beyond expectations, very clean, comfortable, and well equipped fully surrounded by nature. Water was available throughout our game drives, which made everything smooth and comfortable. We had close sightings of lions, elephants, rhinos and even flamingos and pelicans, true safari dream come true. The visit to the Giraffe Center was such a joyful and interactive experience. We also enjoyed a unique and flavorful meal at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, and wrapped up our journey with a wonderful departing lunch at G Spot, the perfect way to end our adventure, relaxing, delicious, and full of laughter and good memories. Huge thanks to Worldfire Vacations specialy our tour guide Richard and Kevin for the professional planning, warm hospitality, and attention to detail.
