Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive - Tarangire National Park

Meet a driver guide at Kilimanjaro Airport and then drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is known for its large populations of elephants and baobab trees. The name of the park comes from the Tarangire River, which crosses through the park. Tarangire is especially spectacular during the dry season as enormous populations of elephants and other animals are drawn to the Tarangire River as their only source of water. Accommodation: Baghayo Garden Suites.

After breakfast, collect lunch boxes and then drive towards Serengeti National Park. Serengeti National Park features endless plains rolling into the distance. You will continue with a game drive to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and attracts a representative variety of Serengeti’s species. Accommodation: Into Wild Tented Camp.

After breakfast, enjoy a full game drive in the plains south of the Seronera River, which is good for viewing lions, Thomson gazelles, topis, ostriches, and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch, you will follow the kopjes circuit, which usually attracts a number of lions and some formidable large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops scattered around the plains that provide drinking pools left in the rock after the rain, making them particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry season. Accommodation: Into Wild Tented Camp.

After breakfast, collect lunch boxes and then drive to Ngorongoro Crater. The Crater (a World Heritage site) holds a permanent population of more than 30,000 animals. With its 2000 ft high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. The crater is also home to the rare black rhino, which is almost extinct in Tanzania. With a bit of luck, you will see the 'Big Five' during the game drive. Accommodation: Baghayo Garden Suites.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and driven to the airport, ensuring you arrive 2 hours before your flight time. Accommodation: NIL.
