Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Guwahati Airport / Rly station – Shillong Sight Seeing – Shillong stay
- Meet and greet upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station.
- Transfer to Shillong.
- Stop at Borapani Umiam Lake, a tranquil lake surrounded by sylvan hills.
- Enjoy boating and take a stroll around the beautiful lake.
- Visit the following attractions:
- Don Bosco Museum
- Ward’s Lake
- Botanical Garden
- Lady Hydari Park
- Elephant Falls
- Check in to your hotel upon arrival.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 2 Shillong - Dawki – Mawlynnong – Cherrapunji
- Post breakfast, explore Mawlynnong.
- Visit the Living Root Bridge and Mawlynnong Village, known as Asia's cleanest village.
- The residents farm on the edges of mist-shrouded cliffs that plunge sharply into the valley.
- Later, drive to Dawki.
- Visit the Umngot River, popular for its clean water (weather permitting), and enjoy local sightseeing in Dawki.
- Also, visit the Bangladesh border.
- On the way to Cherrapunji, visit Mawdok Valley.
- Night stay in Cherrapunji.
- Note: The village will be closed on Sunday.
Day 3 Cherrapunjee – Nongriat – Cherrapunji
- Early morning departure to Tyrna village, a 30-minute drive from Cherrapunjee.
- Relaxed 1.5-hour walk down to Nongriat Village.
- 2-hour walk up to reach the Double Decker Root Bridge.
- The path to the Double Decker Root Bridge is 3 kilometers long and includes approximately 3,500 stairs, descending 2,400 feet.
- Another 1-hour trek, approximately 3 kilometers, from the Double Decker Root Bridge to visit the beautiful and scenic Rainbow Falls.
- Post-activity trek back to Tyrna village.
- Drive back to Cherrapunji.
- Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
- Note: The Double Decker Root Bridge is closed on Sundays.
Day 4 Cherrapunji sightseeing – Shillong
- Post breakfast, depart for Cherrapunjee, the destination with the heaviest rainfall in the world.
- Cherrapunjee features exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves.
- At Cherrapunji, visit:
- Nohkalikai Falls, the world’s fourth tallest waterfall
- Eco Park
- Seven Sister Falls
- Mawsmai Cave
- Later, transfer to Shillong.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 5 Shillong - laitlum canyon - Guwahati Airport / Rly Station
- Post breakfast, drive to Laitlum Grand Canyon.
- The Laitlum Canyons offer a vast, verdant, and fascinating panorama of Meghalaya that can be viewed and admired.
- This exotic site is relatively less crowded and less commercial, providing a serene and secluded spot for quiet, peaceful moments.
- The scenic hill slopes of Laitlum are often referred to as the amphitheater of Meghalaya.
- Later, transfer to the railway station or airport for your onward destination.

- Cancellation requests must be sent to us by mail or fax.
- From the date of booking: 40% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- 30-15 days prior to departure: 60% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- 14-1 days prior to departure: 100% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- In the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, COVID-related cancellations may occur. In such cases, the operator will make every effort to provide an alternate feasible activity.
- However, no refund will be provided for these changes.
