Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Cochin - Drive to Munnar

You will be welcomed by our executive upon your arrival at the Cochin airport or railway station.
Then, head to Munnar, which is approximately a 4-hour drive from Cochin.
Arrive at Munnar and check into the resort.
Later, visit the Tea Museum to learn how tea is processed.
You can also visit Munnar town to shop for spices and handmade chocolates.
Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 2 Munnar Day Tour

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Munnar.
Visit Eravikulam National Park to glimpse the Nilgiri Tahr; trekking in the park is recommended.
Explore the following attractions:

Mattuppetty Dam
Eco Point
Kundala Lake
Blossom Garden
Pothenmedu Viewpoint
Top Station

Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 3 Munnar - Thekkady

Drive to Thekkady, covering 110 km in approximately 4 hours.
Check into the resort and enjoy lunch.
Experience a boat ride on the lake and Periyar Dam.
Observe wild animals such as elephants and deer.
Participate in programs offered by the forest department, including the Periyar tiger trail and nature walks.
Overnight stay at Thekkady resort.

Day 4 Thekkady - Alleppey

After breakfast, set out early for Alleppey, approximately a 5-hour drive covering 160 km.
Board your houseboat around 1 PM and relax as it cruises through the backwaters of Vembanad Lake.
Explore the scenic backwaters and see traditional villages and coconut groves.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 Departure from Alleppey to Cochin

The houseboat will start cruising again at 8 AM.
It will drop you at Alleppey jetty at 9 AM.
Proceed to Cochin.
Bid farewell to Kerala with sweet memories.

The itinerary was well planned to allow enough time for sightseeing, relaxation, and drive-through locations. Most of the stays had local himachali hosts, hospitality of those cannot be questioned. Each one of them pampered with great food, excellent hospitality

The quality of stays (specially for return journey stops) should have been better. The stays were either too far from cities (additional travel time) or were not maintained at all - leading to unsatisfactory experience. Some hotel rooms provided were not exactly the ones that were advertised prior booking

We encountered numerous issues during our Kashmir trip, and unfortunately, Amazing India Travels is to blame for most of them. They made several promises and presented attractive hotel options during the booking process, but the real problems began after the payment was made, and the series of issues that followed felt like opening a Pandora’s box. • Despite confirming a good hotel before the tri (Read More)p, we were shocked to learn upon arrival in Kashmir that they had booked us into a much lower-quality hotel without informing us beforehand. This caused the trip to start on a very negative note. I had to argue extensively to have the original hotel booking reinstated, but we still had to spend the first night in a subpar hotel which was quite a bad experience • They verbally promised a 1-hour Shikara ride and it was mentioned im itinerary as well, but once we reached Kashmir, they backtracked on this commitment saying it's not part of the inclusion list. • The driver they provided was unprofessional and tried to alter our itinerary, falsely claiming that road blockages by security forces would cause us to miss our flight. Being in a place like Kashmir and hearing such misleading information was unsettling, to say the least. These were just some of the major issues; there were several other problems throughout the trip. It became evident that Amazing India Travels had no real expertise in organizing Kashmir tours. They had simply subcontracted our trip to a local operator, leaving us to deal with the consequences. It felt that they abandoned us to fend for ourselves once they received their payment. Overall, the experience was frustrating and ruined what was supposed to be a memorable first visit to Kashmir. Instead of enjoying our trip, we spent each day dealing with unexpected problems.
