Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Drive to Masai Mara
  • You will be picked from the hotel/residence, the safari departs at 0700hrs driving thru the Great Rift Valley and down to the floor of the Rift Valley, making a stop at view point to see the escarpment and the awesome sight of the valley.
  • After the view, drive on to Narok town for another short break for toilet.
  • You will drive on thru the Masai land to arrive Masai Mara around mid-day in time for lunch.
  • You will check in at the Mara Sopa lodge.
  • 1300hrs - 1430hrs lunch will be served then relax.
  • 1530hrs head out for the afternoon game drive deep in the savannah grassland in search of the big five and other wildlife within this famous Masai Mara park.
  • Later return to the lodge before dark for dinner and overnight.
  • Breakfast will be served early in the morning.
  • After breakfast, head out with a picnic lunch box.
  • Spend the day in Masai Mara, Kenya's most popular game reserve.
  • Best opportunity to spot the Big Five: lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant.
  • Drive down to the Mara River for hippos and crocodiles.
  • Break for lunch under an acacia tree.
  • Continue with the safari after lunch.
  • Return to the lodge late in the evening.
  • Freshen up before dinner and overnight stay.
  • After breakfast you will check out and drive back to Nairobi arriving approx. 13:00hrs.
  • Drop at your hotel / resident or at the airport for onward flight home.

All arrangements including hotel, game drives, food arrangements, personalised s (Read More)ervices by İmara Destinations was excellent We started our trip from New Delhi to Nairobi via Mumbai by Indigo flight. Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives. Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted. Well done İmara Destinations. Thanks to Dennis and Murray for it

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.
