Day 1 Arrive in Nairobi - Masai Mara Game Reserve

You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi and begin your journey southwards, stopping briefly at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for stunning views of the escarpment. Continue the drive to Narok, a lively Masai town, for lunch. Afterward, proceed to the Masai Mara Game Reserve and check in to your lodge for refreshments. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in Kenya’s premier wildlife sanctuary, known for its incredible wildlife density and scenic landscapes.

After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive across the expansive, wildlife-rich plains of Masai Mara. The reserve is home to an astonishing variety of animals including black-maned lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and virtually every type of wildlife found in Kenya. Lunch will be served picnic-style near the Mara River—famous as the scene of the annual wildebeest and zebra migration and a natural border between Kenya and Tanzania. Continue exploring the park's diverse regions before returning to your lodge in the evening.

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, followed by check-out. Begin the return journey to Nairobi, with a stop for lunch en route. You'll arrive back in the city between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM, concluding your safari with treasured memories and incredible wildlife photos.

Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives. Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted. Well done İmara Destinations. Thanks to Dennis and Murray for it

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.
