Day 1 Masai Mara National Reserve
  • Our driver will pick you up from your booked hotel in Nairobi or JKIA and transfer you to Wilson Airport for your domestic flight to Masai Mara.
  • Board the 09:30 AM morning flight to Masai Mara from Wilson Airport.
  • This is a short 45-minute scenic flight that provides an opportunity to enjoy the views of Kenya's countryside from above.
  • Upon arrival, you will find our friendly and knowledgeable Maasai Guide ready to take you on your first Game Drive.
  • You will be introduced to the exceptional wildlife of the Maasai Mara, including thriving populations of lions, elephants, cheetahs, and leopards.
  • You will arrive at the camp in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.
  • At around 4 PM, you will meet your Guide for your Afternoon Game Drive.
  • As the temperature cools in the late afternoon, the predators of the Mara start preparing for the evening hunt.

All arrangements including hotel, game drives, food arrangements, personalised s (Read More)ervices by İmara Destinations was excellent We started our trip from New Delhi to Nairobi via Mumbai by Indigo flight. Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives. Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted. Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.
