Day 1 Dar es Salam | Morogoro | Mikumi National Park
- Pick up at the place of staying in Dar es Salaam or point of arrival
- Transfer to the train station
- Board the train departing at 06:00 or 09:30 to Morogoro Town
- Arrival in Morogoro at 07:45 or 11:15
- Meet with your safari guide
- Depart to Mikumi National Park by road (1-5 hours? drive from Morogoro)
- Park nestled between the Uluguru Mountains to the East and the Rift Valley Escarpments to the Southwest
- Opportunity to embark on game drives around the park till sunset
- Dinner and overnight at Camp Bastian or Similar
- Meals Plan: Lunch and Dinner
Day 2 Maasai visit | Game Drive | Back to Dar es Salaam
- Wake up early morning for a cup of coffee
- Visit the Maasai village near Camp Bastian
- Learn about Maasai culture, traditions, and daily life
- Participate in activities like milking cows or watching a traditional dance
- Return to the camp for breakfast
- Go for another game viewing drive in the park

- A cancellation must be sent in writing to the office by email that confirmed the reservation. Cancellations shall only be effective from the date of receipt of cancellation by the booking office. In case of a booking cancellation, the company shall retain the full deposit if not agreed differently.
- More than 6 weeks prior to departure: No cancellation fee
- Up to 4 weeks prior to departure: 30% cancellation fee
- 4 to 2 weeks prior to departure: 50% cancellation fee
- 2 to 1 week prior to departure: 75% cancellation fee
- Less than 1 week prior to departure: 100% cancellation fee
Exceptions: Flights are excluded from refund options. In case a trip must be cancelled, we cannot guarantee a full refund for flights as this is subject to the specific airline. We always do our best to offer free cancellations but rely on the terms and conditions of hotels & airlines.
The company reserves the right to cancel any tour at its sole and absolute discretion, without prior notification in instances where this is unavoidable. However, in that case the company agrees to refund all money that has already been paid by the client. This shall be the company's sole responsibility to the client and no claim for any damages, howsoever arising, shall accrue against the company.

We booked with Azam ferries for our 3 day trip to Zanzibar where we met James a friendly gentleman who went out of his way to make us feel welcome.
We mentioned to him that we intended to visit Mikumi (Read More) game reserve on our return and it turns out that he is also involved in organising safari trips. We booked with him and he made sure all our needs and requirements were met. Our all inclusive trip started when he came to pick us up from our hotel took us the train station and ensured we got on board the train safely.
On reaching Morogoro we were met by Hassan who drove us to Mikumi, where where we had lunch and then we proceeded for the game drive with our guide and driver Kevin who ensured we got to see a variety of animals including lions, zebras, buffalo, hippos etc. The next day we went on another game drive and reached Morogoro just in time for lunch. We were dropped off at the train station for our return journey to Dar es Salaam.
On reaching Dar we were met by James and a driver and taken to our hotel.
We would like to thank James for organising this Mikumi Safari adventure. Everything was as he had promised.
