Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m) – Warm Welcome to Nepal

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted with traditional Nepali hospitality by our representative and transferred to your hotel in a comfortable private vehicle. The drive from the airport introduces you to the vibrant energy of Kathmandu Valley, with its temples, crowded streets, and cultural richness. After check-in, you can rest in your hotel and recover from your journey. The rest of the day is completely free for leisure, relaxation, or a short walk around nearby markets. In the evening, a detailed orientation briefing will be conducted, explaining the entire pilgrimage route including travel times, temple rituals, dress code, and important spiritual guidelines for visiting sacred sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Halesi Mahadev Temple, Muktinath Temple, and Janaki Temple.

After breakfast, your spiritual journey begins with a visit to the holiest Shiva shrine in Nepal, Pashupatinath Temple. Located on the banks of the Bagmati River, this temple is not just a religious site but a living spiritual ecosystem where rituals are performed continuously throughout the day. You will experience darshan, observe traditional puja ceremonies, and feel the powerful devotional energy created by chanting priests and devotees. Later, you will proceed to other significant spiritual destinations including Guhyeshwari Temple, a powerful Shakti Peetha, and Budhanilkantha Temple, where the reclining Vishnu statue lies immersed in a sacred pond symbolizing cosmic rest. The day concludes with participation in the famous Bagmati Aarti at Pashupatinath, a deeply moving spiritual ceremony filled with fire lamps, devotional songs, and sacred chants.

After an early breakfast, you will begin a scenic overland drive toward eastern Nepal, heading to Halesi Mahadev Temple, often described as the “Pashupatinath of Eastern Nepal.” The journey passes through diverse landscapes including Dhulikhel’s hill viewpoints, river valleys of Khurkot, and rural settlements of Okhaldhunga. Along the way, you will witness authentic Nepali village life, suspension bridges, terraced farmlands, and natural beauty that changes gradually as you move eastward. Upon arrival in Halesi, you will check into your hotel and later visit the sacred cave temple for evening darshan, where natural rock formations and dimly lit cave interiors create a mystical spiritual environment closely associated with Lord Shiva’s mythology.

  • This entire day is reserved for a peaceful and immersive spiritual experience at Halesi without any travel rush.
  • After breakfast, you will explore the main Shiva cave along with associated smaller caves, meditation spots, and prayer areas.
  • According to ancient beliefs, Lord Shiva took refuge in this cave while escaping the demon Bhasmasur, making this site extremely significant in Hindu mythology.
  • Devotees can participate in optional Rudrabhishek puja, chanting rituals, or personal meditation sessions inside designated peaceful areas.
  • The calm mountain surroundings, echoing temple bells, and sacred atmosphere make this one of the most spiritually powerful experiences of the entire journey.
  • After morning darshan at Halesi Mahadev and breakfast, you will begin your comfortable drive back to Kathmandu.
  • The journey retraces the scenic eastern hills of Nepal, offering a refreshing experience.
  • You will pass through terraced farmlands, river valleys, forested slopes, small hill towns, and traditional villages that reflect authentic rural Nepali life.
  • Multiple stops will be made for tea, refreshments, photography, and short breaks to ensure a relaxed travel experience.
  • As you descend gradually toward the Kathmandu Valley, the landscape transitions from remote hills to more urban surroundings.
  • Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will check into your hotel and rest after the long journey.

  • The drive passes through Beni and gradually enters rugged mountain terrain, featuring rivers, cliffs, waterfalls, and deep valleys that make the journey visually spectacular.
  • This stop is intentionally included to ensure a comfortable and gradual ascent toward higher Himalayan regions while avoiding travel fatigue.
  • Upon arrival in Tatopani, you will check in and relax in the natural hot springs, which are believed to have therapeutic and healing properties for both body and mind.
  • This makes it an ideal rest stop before heading toward the high-altitude region of Muktinath.
  • After breakfast, continue your journey through the legendary Kali Gandaki Gorge, one of the deepest river gorges in the world.

They were unable to provide us with transportation as they already had prior boo (Read More)kings, so we had to arrange transport through other sources. The resort and hotels were good; however, at the time of booking, they had mentioned that the property in Pokhara would have a swimming pool. In reality, there was no swimming pool, and it was not even a resort but actually a hotel. Nevertheless, the overall stay arrangement was satisfactory.
Except for Siddhartha Riverside, the food at all other hotels and resorts in Nep (Read More)al was not good. They did not even have the basic courtesy to provide drinking water in the room. At the time of check-in, two bottles of water were provided, but the next morning when we asked for a refill, they said refills are only done after 12:00 PM. If we needed water before that, we had to purchase it ourselves. We have traveled extensively around the world, but we have never experienced such dry and unaccommodating behavior anywhere. Refilling drinking water is a very basic courtesy that hotels and resorts should provide.
