Naini Lake, Kumaon Overview

Another lake, did you say' A better experience, we say. The Naini Lake is a clear lake, fed by the Balia Nala, and about 26 more perennial drains. It's name is drawn from the shape it is in that is of a 'Nain' or, an eye.

The Lake is flanked by high rising mountain ranges on all sides, and is a clear lake, appearing to change colors during different seasons. Visit it in winters, and you'll see a light mist floating above the lake, dimming in intensity as it rises, and the lake itself giving a green, emerald-like hue. The sun rays sometimes cut through the mist, and the shores reflect the green. In the clear summer skies however, the lake is a crystal blue, almost mirroring the color of the sky above it, and is a spectacular nature marvel, like a vast expanse of mirror has been fitted into the dip of the valley. The Lake has various amenities available around it, like public facilities, and eatables. One of the most quietly enchanting places to visit in Kumaon.
