The biggest artificial lake of Chhattisgarh, Dalpat Sagar is a 400-year-old lake built primarily to harvest rainwater, now also being used mainly for fishing and tourism. Dalpat lake is situated in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh is an artificial lake built by Raja Dalpat Deo Kakatiya, 400 years ago. During the Post-winter and summer period, a small part of the lake gets dry whereas in monsoon heavy rains make visiting the lake or boating impossible.
