The Splash Palace is situated at Invercargill in New Zealand. Located in the Southland region, Splash Palace is the only indoor aquatic centre in the area. It remains open throughout the year and welcomes people from around the globe. As the name suggests, Splash Palace is like a water park that has gigantic swimming pools, meandering and whirling water slides, water games etc. The swimming pool at Splash Palace is a fifty-metre lane pool. They have created a mechanism that produces waves and sprays in the water to give everyone the feel of bathing in the sea. It is undoubtedly a great place to spend a day with your family here as kids really have a ball while swimming and playing in the water.

The Splash Palace is a top-notch public pool facility in New Zealand. This indoor aquatic centre is a wish come true for all the water babies (including adults) who love to swim and dive. The water slides are a major attraction of the Splash Palace.
There are separate pools for separate purposes and age groups. Apart from the main pool, the Tots Pool is for toddlers and the learner's pool for beginners.
Also, there is a spa pool attached to the sauna.
The Splash Palace also has a swim school for kids. Under this program, the kids get the feel of water and learn swim techniques from experts. On completion, the children receive certificates of accomplishments too.
There are special summer break swim lessons too at very affordable rates.
After the swim, enjoy snacks at the cafe that has a great variety in its delectable menu.

Charges

Spectator charges apply only during events and not when parents are watching their kids.
Membership and discount cards are not refundable.
There are separate charges for different age groups. You can enquire the same from the information centre at the Splash Palace.

General information and tips

The Splash Palace has proper arrangement for toilets suiting all age groups.
There is ample parking available at the Splash Palace.
This place is also suitable for those children who are under the age of five years.
However, Splash Palace does not allow prams inside the premises.
Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited.
Except for guide dogs, no other animal is allowed inside.
Diving is neither permitted in the learner’s pool nor in the shallow end of the main pool.
Proper swimwear is supposed to be worn while swimming. No pants and capris allowed.
The Splash Palace prohibits smoking and bringing a glass of any type to the premises.
The Splash Palace is quite strict about its supervision rules. One adult can supervise a maximum of two children under the age of seven.
Children below the age of six years must wear a yellow band at all times.
Children aged seven years must wear a lime green wrist band at all times.
Children under the age of seven must be supervised by an adult at arm’s distance who is above sixteen years of age.
