The National Gallery of Scotland is the heart of the city of Edinburgh and it houses one of the finest collections of art in the entire world. It is located on The Mound in central Edinburgh and it is a neoclassical style building that was designed by William Henry Playfair. The gallery includes Scottish as well as international art beginning from the age of Renaissance. It contains masterpieces by Jacopo bassano and Van Dyck.
