Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Shillong

Meet and get assistance from our representative at Guwahati airport/railway station.
Transfer to Shillong (4,900 ft.), called ' Scotland of the East" (100 km 3 hrs).
En-route visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding Sylvan hills.
On arrival at Shillong, check-in at your hotel.
Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 2 Excursion to Cherrapunji

After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world.
See the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai.
Explore the caves known as Mawsmai.
In the evening return to Shillong.
En-route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views.
Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 3 Transfer to Kaziranga

In the early morning, drive to Gibbon WLS.
Take a walk along with the forest guard.
Later drive back to Jorhat.
After refreshments, drive to Kaziranga National Park.
On arrival at Kaziranga, check in to the hotel.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 4 Kaziranga National Park Safari

In the early morning, go for an Elephant ride (timing 5:00 AM/06:00 AM/7:00 AM).
Afterward, return back to the hotel.
After breakfast, go for a jeep safari (timing 8:00 AM/9:00 AM) for 03 hrs.
After the safari, return back to the hotel.
After lunch and refreshment, go for another jeep safari in the Western/Central range of the park (timing 2:00 PM/3:00 PM) for 02 ½ hrs.
Spend the evening at leisure.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 5 Kaziranga to Nameri

After breakfast, drive to Nameri National Park.
En route do local sightseeing in Tezpur.
Continue the drive to Nameri.
On arrival at Nameri, check in to the Eco Camp.
Overnight stay at Nameri.

Day 6 Explore Nameri National Park

In the early morning, go for a trekking trip inside the national park.
Return to the Eco Camp.
After breakfast, go for a boat ride in rubber dinghies in the Jia Bhoreli River flowing along the national park.
Spend the afternoon at leisure.
You can go for a village walk in nearby villages.
Overnights stay at Nameri.

Day 7 Transfer to Guwahati

After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati.
On arrival check-in at the hotel.
Visit ' Kalakshetra', a place where Assamese history and culture is presented through light and sound show.
Return to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 8 Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Guwahati airport for your onward journey back home.

What's Good: We recently traveled to Assam and Meghalaya with the help of Safar Panda, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. The driver Britu Das was extremely friendly and made our journey smooth and enjoyable. Special thanks to Mr. Ujjal and Mr. Amit, who coordinated everything so well. They were always available and supportive, and even when we requested last-minute changes to our itinerary, they accommodated us without any hassle. They went above and beyond to give us the best possible experience and ensured we covered most of the key attractions. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed and executed as planned. The hotels arranged by Safar Panda were top-notch — clean, comfortable, and located in great areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the food provided, especially the breakfast, which was always delicious and well-prepared to ensure we started our days right. Overall, the entire experience was more than worth the amount we paid.
