Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Shillong
  • Meet and get assistance from our representative at Guwahati airport/railway station.
  • Transfer to Shillong (4,900 ft.), called ' Scotland of the East" (100 km 3 hrs).
  • En-route visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding Sylvan hills.
  • On arrival at Shillong, check-in at your hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Shillong.
  • After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world.
  • See the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai.
  • Explore the caves known as Mawsmai.
  • In the evening return to Shillong.
  • En-route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views.
  • Overnight stay at Shillong.
  • In the early morning, drive to Gibbon WLS.
  • Take a walk along with the forest guard.
  • Later drive back to Jorhat.
  • After refreshments, drive to Kaziranga National Park.
  • On arrival at Kaziranga, check in to the hotel.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
  • In the early morning, go for an Elephant ride (timing 5:00 AM/06:00 AM/7:00 AM).
  • Afterward, return back to the hotel.
  • After breakfast, go for a jeep safari (timing 8:00 AM/9:00 AM) for 03 hrs.
  • After the safari, return back to the hotel.
  • After lunch and refreshment, go for another jeep safari in the Western/Central range of the park (timing 2:00 PM/3:00 PM) for 02 ½ hrs.
  • Spend the evening at leisure.
  • Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
  • After breakfast, drive to Nameri National Park.
  • En route do local sightseeing in Tezpur.
  • Continue the drive to Nameri.
  • On arrival at Nameri, check in to the Eco Camp.
  • Overnight stay at Nameri.
  • In the early morning, go for a trekking trip inside the national park.
  • Return to the Eco Camp.
  • After breakfast, go for a boat ride in rubber dinghies in the Jia Bhoreli River flowing along the national park.
  • Spend the afternoon at leisure.
  • You can go for a village walk in nearby villages.
  • Overnights stay at Nameri.
  • After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati.
  • On arrival check-in at the hotel.
  • Visit ' Kalakshetra', a place where Assamese history and culture is presented through light and sound show.
  • Return to the hotel.

First of all thankyou for all the arrangements, we had a great time in Meghalaya. Starting from getting the quote and customising it as per our request - you did a great job. Whenever we had any q (Read More)uery, you were there anytime without any hesitation. Tapen Das (cab driver) - He was too good, his attitude shows his experience. The drive from dawki to mawlylong along the border fence in pitch dark will be memorable for ever. He was calm & composed and ensured no rash driving. Accomodation : As per our package category - we had better homestays with lovely views and calm surrounding. Before the trip, I heard from friends that food will be not comfortable but we had a decent meal in all the stays. Though it was a short trip, thanks for making it more memorable. I will definitely recommend Airgennie to my friends.

We four Srctyzen took trip for 7days ,the trip was very well organised and coordinated by Annurthi Koushik and Kalita jagadeesh. We four enjoyed the trip with jagadish who happened to driver us around (Read More).All the places were visited as per itenary. All hotels booked for us were very good.The only shortcoming was, we could have stayed one night at Guwahati and looked around. We are eager to tour the balance NE with the same team of Koushik and Jagadish.
