Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Shillong

Meet and get assistance from our representative at Guwahati airport/railway station.
Transfer to Shillong (4,900 ft.), called ' Scotland of the East" (100 km 3 hrs).
En-route visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding Sylvan hills.
On arrival at Shillong, check-in at your hotel.
Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 2 Excursion to Cherrapunji

After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world.
See the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai.
Explore the caves known as Mawsmai.
In the evening return to Shillong.
En-route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views.
Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 3 Transfer to Kaziranga

In the early morning, drive to Gibbon WLS.
Take a walk along with the forest guard.
Later drive back to Jorhat.
After refreshments, drive to Kaziranga National Park.
On arrival at Kaziranga, check in to the hotel.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 4 Kaziranga National Park Safari

In the early morning, go for an Elephant ride (timing 5:00 AM/06:00 AM/7:00 AM).
Afterward, return back to the hotel.
After breakfast, go for a jeep safari (timing 8:00 AM/9:00 AM) for 03 hrs.
After the safari, return back to the hotel.
After lunch and refreshment, go for another jeep safari in the Western/Central range of the park (timing 2:00 PM/3:00 PM) for 02 ½ hrs.
Spend the evening at leisure.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 5 Kaziranga to Nameri

After breakfast, drive to Nameri National Park.
En route do local sightseeing in Tezpur.
Continue the drive to Nameri.
On arrival at Nameri, check in to the Eco Camp.
Overnight stay at Nameri.

Day 6 Explore Nameri National Park

In the early morning, go for a trekking trip inside the national park.
Return to the Eco Camp.
After breakfast, go for a boat ride in rubber dinghies in the Jia Bhoreli River flowing along the national park.
Spend the afternoon at leisure.
You can go for a village walk in nearby villages.
Overnights stay at Nameri.

Day 7 Transfer to Guwahati

After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati.
On arrival check-in at the hotel.
Visit ' Kalakshetra', a place where Assamese history and culture is presented through light and sound show.
Return to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 8 Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Guwahati airport for your onward journey back home.

We had Rumi as our representative. She was very cooperative and guided us throug (Read More)hout the trip. The driver provided to us, Moonji was also very very kind. We are totally satisfied with our trip. All the hotels provided by the agency had good rooms and very kind staffs. We had the liberty to choose from options given by them for those hotels. Rumi also provided us with numbers of two Pandas who helped us give pujo in Kamakhya temple in a smooth way. Altogether we really enjoyed our vacation, and would definitely recommend Inderoots Travel to everyone.

In Tawang, we were not provided with the same room that was shown to us while bo (Read More)oking in the hotel JD house. Although after much talking and communication to clear it out, they cooperated and provided us with that room. They tried their best to suit our needs.

The accommodation at Cherrapunji is excellent ?, particularly the behavior and s (Read More)upport of the staff and owner, which is truly appreciable.

The accommodation in Dawki was substandard. We strongly suggest prioritizing hot (Read More)els with AC, as it is very hot there during this period. Also behavior of the Manager and staff are not good.
