Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Istanbul & Half Day Bosphorus Cruise
  • Arrive in Istanbul and transfer to your hotel
  • Check-in time is 1400 hours.
  • In the afternoon, depart for a half-day Bosphorus Cruise. Take in the sights and sounds of this legendary waterway lined with historic villages, grand wooden mansions, imposing fortresses, and the Baroque summer palaces of the late Ottoman sultans.
  • After the cruise, visit the Spice Bazaar, a thrilling riot of colours, sounds, and the rich smells of exotic spices.
  • Overnight in Istanbul.
  • After breakfast transfer to the airport to catch the 08:00 hrs flight to Ankara, the capital of Turkey with a history dating back 3000 years.
  • Upon arrival, visit the Anatolian Civilisations Museum which also exhibits the remains of Catalhoyuk, the Neolithic village dating back to 6500 BC.
  • Then, visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey.
  • After lunch at a local restaurant, your next destination is the mysterious Cappadocia.
  • Overnight in Cappadocia.
  • Breakfast at the hotel, morning visit to the underground city of Kaymaklı & Citadel of Uçhisar.
  • After lunch, continue with the valley of "Goreme" & Open Air Museum.
  • The last sites will be Pasabag valley and Avanos.
  • Return to hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
  • Early departure for Konya.
  • On the way, visit the 13th century Seljukian caravanserai "Sultanhan".
  • The next stop will be Konya which is famous for the Mevlana Museum and the Theological School of Whirling Dervishes.
  • Lunch en route and drive to Pamukkale.
  • Breakfast and visit the ancient city of Hierapolis in Pamukkale. The ruins of the biggest Necropolis Graveyard of the ancient world, Roman Baths, Basilica and calcium cliffs.
  • In the afternoon, drive to Aphrodisias.
  • After lunch, visit the Greco-Roman settlement which is remarkably well preserved. The ancient city is dedicated to the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite.
  • Drive to Kusadası, dinner and overnight.
  • After breakfast, depart for the sightseeing of Ephesus, the cradle of early Christianity.
  • Visit the House of Virgin Mary, where she spent her last days.
  • Proceed to visit Ephesus, and see the spectacular ruins from the period of St. Paul, some of which are recently excavated.
  • After lunch, visit the Archaeological Museum, Temple of Diana (one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.).
  • Overnight in Kusadasi.
  • Early departure for Pergamum.
  • After lunch, visits  Asklepion and Acropolis.
  • Continue to Troy - The legendary town in the Iliad of Homeros, and visit the Athena temple.
  • Drive to Canakkale, for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast cross the strait by ferry and drive to Istanbul along the shores of Marmara sea.
  • After breakfast, depart for a half-day sightseeing tour of the Sultanahmet district at the heart of old Istanbul.
  • Visit St. Sophia (On Mondays replaced by the Chora Church Museum).
  • Next, visit the Blue Mosque, which owes its name to the exquisite tiles adorning its interior.
  • Walk through the Hippodrome, the stadium of the ancient Byzantium.
  • Finish the tour at the Grand Bazaar, which was the commercial heart of the old city. Its 4,000 shops are full of treasures – including carpets and kilims, silks, jewellery, ceramics, icons, and leather goods. Wandering through the Grand Bazaar (closed on Sundays), you may indulge in a little shopping, Ottoman style.
  • After the tour, transfer to the airport.

We had a lovely family holiday and everything was really well organised from Rohits side . He took care of all our visas , transfers and sightseeing , and internal flights. Apart from the painstaking (Read More) visa process everything else was really amazing and we had a superb trip . Thank you Rohit !
