Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Srinagar - Visit the Mughal Gardens
- After reaching Srinagar Airport, meet our representative and move towards the waiting vehicle.
- Start for a half a day of local sightseeing.
- Visit to the famous Mughal Gardens of Nishat and Shalimar.
Built in between a period of 14 years, the two gardens are a heritage left behind by the erstwhile Mughals. With a backdrop of the sprawling Zabarwan mountains, the gardens boast of green turfs, blooming flowers and cascading water fountains. - Later, dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 2 Day Trip to Sonamarg
- After breakfast, leave for Sonamarg.
Situated at an altitude of 9000 ft. Sonamarg is also called as “The Meadow of gold”. With a backdrop of snowy mountains against a cerulean sky and the Sindh River meandering through the valley, Sonamarg is a visual retreat. - Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer.
- Return back to the hotel for dinner.
- Overnight stay at Srinagar hotel.
Day 3 Day Trip to Gulmarg
- After breakfast in the morning, begin the country tour towards Gulmarg.
The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. - Arrive at a small picturesue market town of Tangmarg.
- After a short pause, drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg.
- Arrive in Gulmarg early in the afternoon and begin a short tour around the meadows.
- Enjoy the cable ride and pony ride in Gulmarg.
- In the evening, return to Srinagar.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Srinagar hotel.
Day 4 Transfer to Pahalgam - En Route Stop at Saffron Fields
- Begin the trip towards Pahalgam and drive on the National Highway 1A.
This road connects the Valley to the rest of the country. - Drive past the saffron fields of Pampore, the marvellous ruins of Avantipura and the village of Bijbehara which is famous as the bread basket of Kashmir.
You can even sample a few exotic breads sold by vendors near the road. - Drive from the national highway at Khanabal and through the second largest city of Anantnag.
From here the road turns scenic as we drive parallel on the Lidder river flowing from the opposite direction. - In Pahalgam, check-in to the hotel.
- Later, go for nature walks to unwind and relax.
- Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 5 Transfer Back to Srinagar - Stay in a Houseboat
- After breakfast, check-out from the hotel.
- Spend some leisure time in Pahalgam.
- In the afternoon, drive for Srinagar.
- Check-in to a houseboat.
- Relish a welcome drink.
- Visit Snakier Anchar Temple, White Shrine in hazratbal.
Day 6 Depart for Srinagar Airport - Tour Ends
- After a late morning breakfast, drive to the airport for your flight home.
- On your way to the airport, you can make a brief stopover for some last minute shopping in the city center.
- Drop at the airport for onward journey.

One of the hotel in Varanasi, "Vikram", the room was good, but the food was not (Read More)ok. Both of us had stomach upset, hence we had to request for change of accommodation.
Flight was booked by Spicejet, who suddenly cancelled the flight and we had to spend one more day in Varanasi. Even on the next day, the flight was delayed by over 3 hours.

The first person who is related to Yatri, Varanasi met on 20th Oct was Mr Sonu, (Read More)Driver at Varanasi Airport. Almost for the entire day through some hours of the night also he spent his time with us. As more than a driver he is a very good tourist guide. The hotels in which we stayed, from where we had our lunch or other food items all had very good liaison with Mr Sonu. More than the other persons like wheelchair walas, guides, poojaries etc. etc. he keeps very good relationship. The cleanliness in all restaurants is of high order. regularly supplied ingredient in any time food, which is not very palatable to all of us.
The food that we had from any hotel for that matter was very good except for Paneer was a regular supplied.
Overall the percentage of marks the whole set of people who provided the service was of high rank, say 80-85%. We will remember you throughout and also recommend other known tourist to contact when needed. We all wish the team of yaatri be the best tour operators in your region.
The bed materials like blankets were not of good standard in some hotel-rooms.

Overall planning was good. but execution needs further improvement. We had sligh (Read More)t hitches here and there with respect to hotel arrangements. The conveyance arranged was fine and the driver was skilled and well mannered, though slightly lacking in punctuality. The tour organisers were very cordial, polite and receptive to our suggestions. One suggestion is for the tour operator to coordinate with the hotels and detail the plans before the guests arrive so that no confusion arises at the reception counter on arrival. Overall I will give a rating of 8/10
