Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Bagdogra / NJP and Departure to Kurseong
  • Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative at the Bagdogra airport/NJP railway station.
  • Drive to Kurseong.
  • On arrival check in to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Kurseong.
  • After breakfast, you will visit Makaibari/Ambootia Tea Estate where you will be able to see the processing of tea.
  • After lunch at the hotel, you will be transferred to the station from where you will travel on a toy train to Darjeeling.
  • On arrival check in to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
  • Wake up early in the morning to drive to Tiger Hill from where you can see the most spectacular sunrise over the Himalayan peaks on Mt.Kanchenjunga and Mt.Everest.
  • Return to the hotel for breakfast.
  • The rest of the morning will be free.
  • In the afternoon you will visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park which is famous for the conservation of Snow Leopards under captivity.
  • Later, visit the Tibetan Refugee Centre – run by Tibetan Refugees to preserve their handicrafts and see the making of Tibetan Carpets, Leather work, Paintings and Wooden work etc.
  • On the way back you will see a tea estate and drive past the Tenzing and Gombu rocks.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • After breakfast depart for Pelling in West Sikkim (80km from Darjeeling, and the drive will be approx 4-5 hours).
  • You will arrive at Pelling by lunchtime.
  • Check in to the hotel.
  • After lunch, visit Pemayangste Monastery followed by a walk to the Rabdentse Palace Ruins.
  • Overnight stay in Pelling.
  • After breakfast transfer to Yuksom.
  • On the way, visit Khecheopalri Lake, the first capital of the kingdom of Sikkim and site of the coronation of the first Chogyal.
  • On arrival in Yuksom check in to the hotel.
  • In the afternoon visit Dubdi Monastery, The Monastery is located on a hill top above Yuksum surrounded by verdant forest.
  • The Monastery can be approached only by trekking and negotiating a steep slope of 40 – 45 minutes.
  • Later visit Coronation Thrown.
  • The evening is free to enjoy local area.
  • Overnight stay in Yuksom.
  • In the morning drive from Yuksum to the capital of Sikkim, Gangtok.
  • On the way, visit the Tashiding Monastery at Tashiding and Temi Tea Estate near Ravangla.
  • On arrival in Gangtok check in to the hotel.

  • Visit Rumtek Monastery (away from the main city).

  • You will arrive at Kalimpong by lunchtime.

  • Overnight stay in Kalimpong.

Her planning, dedication, and attention to every little detail made this journey absolutely seamless and special. From the very beginning, Mrs. Anuradha was extremely patient, understanding, and responsive. She carefully curated the entire itinerary keeping our comfort and preferences in mind. The selection of hotels was exceptional — each stay was not only comfortable but also offered beautiful views and a warm experience that added so much charm to the trip. Our Sikkim and Darjeeling trip was well planned and organized. The hotels provid (Read More)ed throughout the journey were comfortable, clean, and met our expectations. A special thanks to Anuradha Ma'am for her continuous support, prompt responses, and assistance before and during the trip. Her guidance made the overall experience smooth and enjoyable. The Sikkim portion of the tour was excellent and exceeded our expectations.
While our experience in Sikkim was excellent, the Darjeeling portion of the trip (Read More) could have been better. The driver assigned in Darjeeling displayed rude and unprofessional behavior, which affected our overall experience. Better customer service and courteous behavior from the driver would have made the trip much more enjoyable.
