Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Bagdogra / NJP and Departure to Kurseong
- Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative at the Bagdogra airport/NJP railway station.
- Drive to Kurseong.
- On arrival check in to the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Kurseong.
Day 2 Kurseong to Darjeeling
- After breakfast, you will visit Makaibari/Ambootia Tea Estate where you will be able to see the processing of tea.
- After lunch at the hotel, you will be transferred to the station from where you will travel on a toy train to Darjeeling.
- On arrival check in to the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 3 Explore Darjeeling
- Wake up early in the morning to drive to Tiger Hill from where you can see the most spectacular sunrise over the Himalayan peaks on Mt.Kanchenjunga and Mt.Everest.
- Return to the hotel for breakfast.
- The rest of the morning will be free.
- In the afternoon you will visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park which is famous for the conservation of Snow Leopards under captivity.
- Later, visit the Tibetan Refugee Centre – run by Tibetan Refugees to preserve their handicrafts and see the making of Tibetan Carpets, Leather work, Paintings and Wooden work etc.
- On the way back you will see a tea estate and drive past the Tenzing and Gombu rocks.
- Return to the hotel.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 Darjeeling to Pelling
- After breakfast depart for Pelling in West Sikkim (80km from Darjeeling, and the drive will be approx 4-5 hours).
- You will arrive at Pelling by lunchtime.
- Check in to the hotel.
- After lunch, visit Pemayangste Monastery followed by a walk to the Rabdentse Palace Ruins.
- Overnight stay in Pelling.
Day 5 Pelling to Yuksom
- After breakfast transfer to Yuksom.
- On the way, visit Khecheopalri Lake, the first capital of the kingdom of Sikkim and site of the coronation of the first Chogyal.
- On arrival in Yuksom check in to the hotel.
- In the afternoon visit Dubdi Monastery, The Monastery is located on a hill top above Yuksum surrounded by verdant forest.
- The Monastery can be approached only by trekking and negotiating a steep slope of 40 – 45 minutes.
- Later visit Coronation Thrown.
- The evening is free to enjoy local area.
- Overnight stay in Yuksom.
Day 6 Yuksom to Gangtok
- In the morning drive from Yuksum to the capital of Sikkim, Gangtok.
- On the way, visit the Tashiding Monastery at Tashiding and Temi Tea Estate near Ravangla.
- On arrival in Gangtok check in to the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 7 Explore Gangtok
- Enjoy the sightseeing tour in Gangtok.
- Visit Rumtek Monastery (away from the main city).
- After returning from Rumtek, visit the Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten, Flower Show, and Directorate of Handicraft and Handlooms.
- In the evening take a stroll at the MG Market.
- Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 8 Excursion to Changgu Lake and Baba Mandir.
- After breakfast, you will proceed for a full-day excursion to Changgu Lake and Baba Mandir (near the IndoTibet Border).
- Return to the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 9 Gangtok to Kalimpong
- After breakfast drive from Gangtok to Kalimpong (83 km, approx. 3 hours)
- You will arrive at Kalimpong by lunchtime.
- Check in to the hotel.
- In the afternoon, visit the Zang Dhok Palri Monastery, Mangal Dham, and Cactus Nursery.
- Overnight stay in Kalimpong.
Day 10 Departure
- After breakfast check out from the hotel.
- Drive to Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station in time for the onward journey.

Excellent Travel Experience with Krishna Travels DMC
We visited North Sikkim (Read More)and Darjeeling for 6 nights and 7 days from Hyderabad, and the entire trip was well planned by Anuradha from Krishna Travels DMC.
Everything was smooth and hassle free. The itinerary, hotel arrangements, drivers, food, and overall coordination were handled perfectly. The planning was well balanced, making our journey comfortable and enjoyable.
Hotels we stayed at were Aurora Gangtok in Gangtok, which was a good stay overall with only minor internet connectivity issues. In Lachung, we stayed at Rufina Lachung Kunga, which was good and comfortable. In Darjeeling, we stayed at Aurora Grand Darjeeling, which was a pleasant stay.
